Your challenge is to see if there are any other threads on this page asking the same question. ;)

Depends on the socks, did they have raised embroidered Santa's, flashing LED's and played Christmas songs with each step.

Try filling a barbeque with socks, then you'll change your tune!

    Better than NOTHING.

Sometimes i wonder if there's now only a few people trying to sustain the game, after the original staff had been gutted, and all creative talent contracts have expired.

I can imagine such a skeleton crew working their butts off to provide any new content, and then the players just cry and complain about it.

The game obviously isn't making the same amount of revenue, as all the long term players have figured out how to exploit the game to avoid paying real money.

It must be so rewarding for TSTO staff to read the comments here.

I live alone. I'm glad we got anything.

Personally whilst we are still getting content and have a game to play I'm very happy, I do admit to farming doughnuts but I also support the game every so often by purchasing some ( as I hope other long term premium players do too) because if the game stops making money then it will defiantly be over for good.
  • Sounds like a vicious circle.
EA doesn't tell us anything, (corporate secrets I imagine???), so some player's don't have as much confidence so they don't pay and like you said, they have found a way round it, (farming); so there is not as much money going in to support the game, the staff and so on and so EA doesn't want to put as much money in and so it repeats all over again.
I don't farm, it's not my iPad or Apple account and the monies I owe mean this is not a priority.
If I had the money and the iPad there are times I would have paid.

Fully agree with you about the vicious circle, it's just like our public transport system here in the UK, less people use it so price goes up which in turn means even more people refuse to use it due to higher price, so again the price has to increase and so it goes on and on, personally I don't remember EA ever being very forthcoming with information about the game in all the time I've played ( way to many years) but I've got a lot of enjoyment out of this game and have passed way to many hours on it in all honesty, I certainly haven't spent as much as some but the way I look at it some people like to go out for a drink, other smoke me I enjoy this and one other game (being mostly housebound) they help stop me going insane so I chuck a few quid their way a couple of times a year, I also know that many people simply don't have the spare cash (been there myself over the years) to spend money on virtual items and others have no wish to but that's the nature of freemium games.
