Who has relocated their entire KL already?

Please reply here ONLY once you've successfully relocated your entire KL to SF.

Please indicate if it's EXACTLY like it was, or if not, why.

I'm interested in a viewable gauge of how long it takes for everyone.
I'm also interested in how many people CANNOT duplicate their original KL, for whatever reason you specify.
I'd also like some advance notice if all of my KL will not be allowed, and if i must select my favorite pieces. I'm already at the feature count limit. I haven't heard any news of the count being raised to fit our KL.

I just don’t understand this grouping. I saved me bushes that spelled out Krustyland as a group. But I can’t figure out how to put them back out as a group. It only lets me put one out at a time.

Use the left hand bottom blue arrow that says -place- ( has a picture and however many pieces)
this will place the whole group. If you use the ones on the right it places the items individually.
  • I can't find the Krusty Fountain in the store. Was that a unique item?

Would be nice to get a second one.

How exactly does the group placement thing work? If possible id like to *try* and salvage atleast some of my krustyland but im not about to start all over moving each peice one by one.

I just started using the area selection tool and then put everything into storage, it will ask you if you want to store it as a group (it keeps your layout, including roads*) or individual which separates it all and tosses things in your regular inventory.

*If you click the eyeball on roads/groundcover to shut when you store things, they roads won't get stored with them which is a blessing and a curse. If you store them, you can't rotate everything in one motion until you set things down, remove (or hide) the ground cover and pick them back up again. But if you store the roads in your group, it's easier (I think) to get KL back on the SF grid if you want it set up exactly the same.
  • Only took me an hour or two because I never expanded my KL after I bought up all the land so it fit super easy. I didn't replace the highway and the parking lot is different - I moved the I&S and Mel/Teeny characters into the park. I bought all the rides I was missing from the KL Mystery Box and I've been expanding territory for those as well as marking some new area off for Itchy & Scratchy Land (I'm opting to make it a sub-area of the KL park). As I'm looking all over my SF I'm finding tons of "fun" things to move up to the Northern corner - the claw machine, yard work simulator, some of the tents from Homerpalooza. And using the rocks from the Western event for the log flume and Mt. Krustmore ride.
  • I did, but stowed it again. Going to wait till we get act 2 & 3 rides, then I'll set them up.
  • Ok i just spent about four hours trying to rebuild some of my Kl. I have up to 65sec lag when moving and storing groups of items.

The problem is identifying the groups. I have to place it to see the layout, where i have groups that use the same identifying icon. I took out all the rides, which would have been the unique feature. Big mistake.

But as im replacing the rides, I'm wondering about separating the park by age. Making one section for little kids and one for bigger and adults. I had them grouped somewhat before, but not in a separate gated zone, which we can do now, thanks to the I&S gate. I could put all the serious rides in their zone.

    Anyone else considering this?
  • I have been considering that also. I think its a good idea. I have tentatively made the entrance to Krustyland inside I/S land, almost as a sub park. I think when there is time I will organize the rides the way you are considering. I really want to incorporate the Clash of Clones castle somehow but that's huge. Maybe all the kids type rides in Castle Land. This could end up massive.

@4junk3000 I think that's a terrific idea! I just plopped my attractions down and hoped for the best lol. I am happy with my Krusty monorail system though as it does remind me of Disney :)

It's nice to hear someone is happy. As I'm struggling to fit my KL in, I'm getting frustrated by the degree of integration i can achieve.

An example of what i mean by that, is I'd like to place the park close to my desert area, so the Krusty Mountain water slide and little train ride, which have desert rock landscape, appear to be natural land features, instead of an artificial one.

A second example is what you just mentioned. I have my monorail going into the Efcot Sphere, to emulate a Disney look also. But it's currently in SH. Should i move the building closer into the park now?

Too many things that i wanted to put in KL but couldn't, now that i can - I'm not sure if i should! I don't want to rebuild my whole town! Ugh! I wish they left it separate!!!

  • I prefer the race track animation always. I don't want to have to knit pick a person's task to animate the customizable rides. And if I need to assign someone to animate it, I probably wouldn't bother.
