I don't know any brazilian who was offended by the episode, personally I think it's funny. And I guarantee Brazil is not a boring country, but the opposite. There's a lot of different landscapes, cultures, foods and traditions, but I must say I was expecting most interesting content for the event.
Unfortunately, this is not an easy situation to handle, but be sure that most people here actually don't live in slums :)
