annettemarc wrote:goody another poll, and for extra credit, rid and ridden are two different words, ridden is not a plural of rid which could be an easy assumption, although ..I've got ridden of... is a completely acceptable use of this word even though it is a different word by definition. Why are they 2 different words you ask? why is ridden acceptable in such a case? I don't know Google won't tell me. Might i suggest some hot coco with a splash of Baily's to help ya sleep
Can we have a poll predicting how many SEPARATE threads we will have, beginning oh, let's say, January 2nd, asking how freakin' long do we have to wait for the Christmas event to END,
Also, can we have a poll predicting how many SEPARATE threads we will have, beginning, oh, let's say January 3rd, asking how freakin' long do we have to wait for the snow to end because if we wanted to see snow, we'd move from drought-ridden Southern California to snow-ridden Vermont?
Also, a poll predicting whether Annette will be the one posting that snow-related one? (Hint: Yes. She will.)
(Extra Credit: How can the word "ridden" mean "dominated by" when "getting rid" of something means making it go away? These are the things that keep me up nights.)
