Common Tapped Out Game Issues and Solutions
Re-downloading all the time: Make sure you have and keep 10-15 gbs of free space at all times. IOS may need 10% of total free and it lies to you. Regularly clear the history of spotify and safari if you use them. Turn off offload apps.
Already Own this Item Bug: It is an issue with the play store if android, or whatever store your device uses. Fix it by going into apps, going to google play store and deleting all data. then log in to the play store again and it should be fixed. Clearing cache does not work you have to clear all data.
Characters are stuck in a building for a task: Milk it for as long as you want by going in and out of town to collect money and xp over and over. To escape it, store the building, go to friends and back place the building back. If you can't store the building, store a building that will store someone who is stuck. go to friends and back and then put that building back.
Warning your other device did not save: This is usually a glitch and you will not lose anything. Tap Play Now and Continue. It should be fine
Game reset to level 1: Try rebooting your device a couple times. If you have an account, log out, reboot, log back in. Try on another device. Uninstall reinstall do not log in until fully downloaded.

Can’t spend my shattered dreams token: The shattered dreams box only appears between events. When you finish events the box will appear.
I don’t have the current event: Events usually require level 15 but can change. Look for the update in the store. Sometimes you need to manually search or refresh the update list. All events start with an intro dialog and then a few tasks, look in the tasks book for the intro tasks and do them. Then the event panel will open and the event store will be available.
Cannot place Abandoned Warehouse: Can only be placed on Boardwalk or dirt. You can remove the dirt after placing.
Perfection Wilts before I can tap it: You only have 3 seconds to tap Perfection. You cannot watch the timer and close the box to tap as that is longer than you have before it wilts. Just watch it grow without the timer or close the timer 15 seconds before done and be ready to tap as soon as the icon appears.
King Toots: If pt 2 will not start, try sending Lisa to play sax 3 times again
Tasks to drink at Moe's disappeared: Declan Desmond's quest interferes with them. Do his quest first and those tasks should return
Princess Opal’s task stuck: This task has been broken since she was first in the game. EA has to fix it.
Cannot send anyone using the Job Manager: If you just got it, you probably have to finish the questline before you can use it. Or, you probably have a task for all Springfielders. Finish that task or if it is a daily challenge, dismiss it, go to friends and back then try again.
Yahweh's 24 h task for 7 donuts disappeared: You have to do steps 1-7 for 4 hours each in order then step 8 is the 24 h task for donuts.
Lost money and xp when the game crashed during farming: Don’t place too many RTT or BM at a time or tap too many KEMs at a time.
I have the Mo’s skin on Moe’s Tavern and cannot change it back: This skin is placed during Rollerskate Smithers quest and will stay until you store Moe's and then bring it back out. The skin will then be gone and cannot be used again.
Dump Full so quest stuck: If you click on your dump and click on where you press to send people to do the job, it gives you a menu shortcut to a dilapidated project board where you can use the junk. Buildings want to place in the mountains/are stuck in the mountains: if you have an account uninstall, reboot device make sure you have 8-12 gbs more free space than you currently do, reinstall, do not log in until fully downloaded
Friends Disappeared: This is a common glitch. Force close and reopen, reboot device or reinstall if you have an account will bring them back
Land tokens: You can earn them rarely from daily challenges. There is a building called Golden Goose Realty that produces them but it is not available all the time. No one knows when it will be back, but it does usually show up in the Gold Box at Black Friday that you must buy tokens for with real money.
Old event tasks: The game lets you finish whatever part of the prize track you were on when the event ends. The only way to get rid of the tasks leftover is to finish them
Righteousness rating: Only EA knows how it works. Some combination of graffitiing neighbors, cleaning up any graffiti in your own town and having characters do good or bad jobs. Just buy enough training walls that you get to 5 stars. You may need more for every level up to level 60. Just hide them behind buildings in your town.
Golden Goose Realty, God, Yahweh, Costmo, Lard Lad Donut Factory: These are very useful items to have but the only one you must have is GGR. God appears randomly last time was March 2023. GGR, Yahweh, CostMo and Lard Lad Donut Factory are in the Gold Box at Black Friday that you must buy tokens for with real money.

General troubleshooting tips:
- Update your device software
- Check for any Tapped Out update in store
- Log out/Log back in
- Restart device
- Clear cache
- Make sure your device has more than 1.5 gbs of RAM
- Free up memory space (some devices may require 8-12 GB free space and Apple devices may require up to 10% of the total space free) IOS lies to you. regularly clear history of spotify and safari if you use them and make sure offload apps is turned off.
- Hard close the game and restart
- Load on another device
- Try a different wifi/connection/internet/broadband
- Change the date and time save and then change back to correct reboot
- Close all other apps before playing
- Only use the app icon to open the game not a notification
- Close any VPN before opening the game
- Accept or decline any pending friend requests
- Change your password at ea.com change your password to be less than 15 characters with only letters and numbers in it. (It can take a couple minutes to reflect it in game) Do not change your password while the game is open on a device
- Add a real mobile phone number, use this to log in if you have issues with email login
- If connected to EA/Origin: uninstall / reinstall game (Do NOT do this if you play anonymously)
- Synchronize your game often by visiting the friend's screen so your game progress is saved
