How do I get rid of Halloween characters?

This subject has been brought up before. The characters that just wander around your Springfield, but can't be sent on tasks are cute for a few minutes, but after that are just a distraction, and eventually an irritatin when you are sending your characters off on tasks. Perhaps someone from EA will check in eventually and realize now irritating this is.

Please give us a means of storing these guys, so we don't havenHalloween "decorations" that we can't get rid of, on display during Christmas, or Easter. I would love to put them out of sight for the rest of he year, but bring them out again in the fall,when Halloween decorations are appropriate!
