Same here. Almost think they just used the loading screen to make it seem like they are doing stuff

I closed the app - double-clicking on home button, holding app icon until see x and then clicking on x. Then opened it. I got some in-app downloads, but my friends are not accessible. It has been on and off the whole day. I guess when I am able to see friends I will visit them... Make hay while the sun shines and all.
