I've added friends, but no one has come to visit yet...
If you've added friends your town will be there for your friends to visit.
I know a lot of people are trying to get extra treats, TP and eggs, so perhaps when your friends visit they are only looking to raid your cemeteries or the treats from the Bad Dream House or House of Evil.
As far as I am aware if the cemeteries are raided there is no indication in your Springfield but all other actions should show up as a pair of shaking hands above the building your friend visited or a mop and graffiti with the school, Moe's, police station or the town hall/mayors office.
