No Origin Icon; Lost All friends

I am currently having this same problem myself. I first received a "Maintenance" error stating that they are aware that alot of players are having issues and are trying to get to the bottom of it. So it booted me off my account and not the Origin logo is gone and can't login, even after I try to login while playing anonymously

    Very aggravating! Mine is just like yours oOPwnedOo, I am "logged in" at the start screen but when I go to the friends page it only shows "Other Springfield" and no Origin icon. Anyone come up with an answer?

    Same happened about this time yesterday and came back after 3 or 4 hours... Don't panick order will be restored in Springfield :)

    There is a load on the server. So it's verifying your city so you can at least use that, but since it can't fully connect you're unable to visit your friends.

    All will be fine within a few hours usually. Fear not.

    My friends are back! All of them. The only thing that I don't have is the Origin icon that will allow me to look at my friend list. Be patient everyone, your time will come!

    Same thing just happened to me...not the first time. Doubt it will be too big of an issue
