Should I restart my game?

Actually unless you have a copy of both save files... Most likely its gone POOF.... The server has a copy and then you you have 2 copies, This is Downloaded from the server when you log in and are in for a minutes or so.

I keep back ups of my games, Recently lost a lot due to a reset. But I restored my last save and have save a lot of time and didn't loose donuts. I just lost whatever I didn't save between the crash and my back up.
