I have 65k of the stuff!! Getting rather silly now! Was hoping they'd bring out some more stuff to buy. Mind you, I'd happily swap it all for just the 3 donuts I'm short for my next premium building!

How did you get so much?? I've uploaded most everything except the castles all the way and bought everything available with it but I REALLY need gold too- is there a good strategy to getting the stuff?

Yeah, I am sitting on 68.5k myself. All three castles are level 20 and I have run out of room to place anything (I am only level 21 and just started playing this game 3 weeks ago) so I don't have enough money for much at the moment. I guess I will buy a plot of land when I have enough money and just stock it with castle walls, towers and gates.

As far as strategy, I send nerds out to random people....not friends, use 1 nerd per house and mix my 90 nerds between castles and houses. I currently have just over 104k coins.

You just use one nerd each, hope that people don't collect the shields... Most people don't because they realize it's much better (for the other player) to leave it then not and not that big of a difference for them - You only get 5 gold for collecting the shield (and 2 for rebuilding)... so it's not that big of a difference... particularly if you have a ton of houses.

I only collect shields from houses if I do it accidentally or if there's a citizen in the house doing a task, so I don't have a choice.

Don't bother trying to sack the castles, though (unless you use a D20)... you get more if you're successful but most people don't let them go because they want to collect their nerds.

Use all your D20s on strangers' castles, never friends. That's the most gold you can get.

Anyway, I don't play regularly enough to be maxed out yet but I'm only 3 K short on the top gold prize, so I'm almost there.

Wow, really? I've been doing it all wrong I guess. I try to take out houses in 60 min as much as possible. I'll try that strategy. Also, I always click on shields because I've wanted that extra gold. Guess I could let them go. I've also tried not to upgrade my town's defense very much because I figured people wouldn't bother if I have too high of a defense. Personally, I only attack a house if it's below 15 hours to destroy. The downside is I only get 50 nerds at a time right now. Apparently it has worked for you guys so I'll try!


EDIT: Thanks so much guys!! This has been working like a charm! I've also stopped tapping on every shield to hopefully bring about good karma so others don't tap on mine! :D Maybe I'll have a shot at the Homer statue prize after all!
