Visit notifications on android?

When I started the game in November, my android showed me the notification as well. They are long since gone, but I don't miss them at all.
What use do they have anyway? You can see who was visiting your Springfield by the handshakes your neighbours leave when tapping your buildings. And if any of them just wants to look at my town outside their daily visits they are welcome to do so. Why should I be notified about that?

Nothing too important, it's just that if you want to maximize your income from tappables you have to resync your town after every visit, or the handshakes get overwritten.

The amount of spam from these notifications would probably overcome its usefulness, but still an option to turn it on or off could be useful
