Freemium games! Even without premium items tapped out (minus server problems/bugs) is incredible and of insane quality, not to mention it's free. They could easily demand £5 upwards and still have premium items.

The donut currency is the sole way EA makes money, and damn it makes alot. Letting premium items being bought by free currency in a free game would cheapen the idea of exclusive items and kinda bankrupt the game.

Free/reduced donuts every now and again would still be cool though
