No automatic gears in Time trail Laja, in Escort Cosworth

As I have a Xbox controller on PC, I use automatic gears (set in Assist). Started to race in a Time Trail in Chile Laja and noticed there was only first gear in the Ford Escort Cosworth, which did not change automatically. Just first gear that can be wound right out, with no hint of changing. Tried to see if it could be changed manual by testing other buttons on controller with no success.

I’ve just tried a couple of times to do a Time trial of Petola (Finland) in the wet, group A Impreza, same thing, it won’t change out of 1st even though the game settings are for assists on and auto gearbox.
