Thrustmaster TGT select and back buttons wrong!

I'm on PlayStation 5 using a Thrustmaster TGT and the select and back buttons are wrong and can't be remapped! This needs fixing asap as I'm constantly hitting the wrong buttons! Select should be (X) not (0) and back should be (0) not (L2)

  • Have you making sure that you load the preset for the wheel attached to the T-GT by going to "Controls > Edit Preset (with selecting the wheel base)" and load the preset?

  • That problem comes when the TGT is not the primary device and/or not selected as TGT is the device settings. It works here when using the right settings.

  • Same here on my T300RS.

Select is "0" and back is "R2"

You get used to it though, but it's weird you can not adjust.

  • TGT is set to primary device and works fully except the select and back buttons being wrong and not mappable!

I even disconnected the controller pad. Wheel was primary because of that. Still not possible to remap.

The PS5 T300RS tip, mentioned by  someone, works for me.

Go to options, controls, edit and

Loading the preset "PS5 wheel console" and then activate pedals, shifter, handbrake, (even if you do not use them)

Now your button mapping is the way you are familiar with. With × and 0. No more red, green and purple. And you can remap if you want.

Big thank you for the tip!

  • @OpaPiet Perfect! Worked for me. Even tho it shows primary device you still have to reset and choose ps5 thrustmaster option.
    Thanks.
