Protection Bubble at beginning of game

You know the protection bubble that lasts a week at the beginning of the game? If I attack a level 12 FB from a 2 wave, do I lose the bubble? The reason I ask is I see an alliance mate who killed an FB and her bubble is still there.

The bubble goes either at 7 days or when you reach the level 20 forgotten base area. If it is because you're in the level 20 area there is a warning message before you confirm the move.
