Second In Command Leave Alliance Bug

Based on my current situation, I presume the bug still exists where if you are the only second in command you cannot demote yourself, nor leave the alliance. Looking at older forum posts, this has been an issue for 4 years running (since 2013). Who do I need to contact in order to have an admin remove me from my current alliance, since the acting Commander in Chief will not kick me nor disband the alliance? Since we are the only two in the alliance, I have no one else to promote to take my place, and I do not wish to lure someone else to join solely to trap them in the same situation I am now in.

I don't think it is supposed to work that way. I will look into this.

To fix your problem you can:
Try to promote yourself to Commander-in-Chief. Then you can set your member role again and leave the alliance.

Not working here anymore. Contact Tjapka for help.
  • Ah! You're brilliant. Thank you! I was indeed able to change myself to Commander-in-Chief, then able to disband the alliance. I had only tried to demote my self and then leave. Had not expected to be able to promote myself from second in command to commander so did not even attempt it.
    Solved!

This has been the situation for a very long time, as @frummi states, you promote yourself then demote yourself. It does seem strange, but it does work.
