Red Alert 2 DOWNLOADABLE VERSION - Black Screen

Please can somebody from EA/Origin help. I have bought the Ultimate Downloadable Command and Conquer Series. I have setup everything as instructed. I have downloaded Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge. Whenever I load this game, I get the sound, and a mouse icon. I also get a black screen. I have seen many people have this issue. Can you please help me on how to fix this??

this fix didn't help me. The reddit page seems to be for if you have the CD. I purchased the ultimate collection through Origin games launcher. Any ideas of that?

i had a problem with several of the games in the ultimate collection when i got them. mostly black screen or refusing to run. eventually i found that if i put my comp settings to 1024x768 display before i launched it it would work beautifully. only had to do it once, has run fine without having to change resolution ever since
