WebApp | calculate Territory

Hi folks,
with this post I want to present you a Web-Application which could be usefull for the one or the other. This Web-App calculates the territory of player- and Forgotten-Bases.

First, here the link: https://leo7044.000webhostapp.com/cnc/TerritoryCalculator/

An example... you want to know whether you can "steal" a POI through clever base-movements - even with lower base-level:

And as you see - in this case it is possible. B)

For questions click first the blue help-Button in the right upper corner of the webpage. I am happy about constructive feedback. :)

  • there is a script for that already
    https://openuserjs.org/scripts/petui/Tiberium_Alliances_The_Movement
can your app do something that this script cannot?

I think it shouldn't have been locked to only use integers.

For instance, a 45.60 base got more influence than a base at level 45.55, right? I belive this is particullary important at very high levels (+60) where it actually takes some time (and resources) to get the base levels up, even when it is only a few decimals... (for stealing purposes ^^)

And yes, it already exists a script that does much of the same, but here we have an visual presentation of the actual influence, so I think it was pretty damn sweet :)
    Regards, ArveK
  • If you wanted to go that way, levels of forgotten bases are not round either, a forgotten base can also be 45.67890123, you cannot know those extra digits unless you get in range
Maybe to avoid that complication, when influence is computed, the levels of bases are all rounded down to the lower integer, so all those extra decimal points are redundant
The formula to compute influence is actually very simple, so in the past when I wanted to compute influence I could always just do it in an excel spreadsheet
Compared with that, leo's page would have been useful in the past
But now we have a better (imho) option with the in-game script, so I do not see any use to it any more
The only case I could think of is if you are considering what if somebody changed an alliance, or wanted to reduce their base level, or something like that, then maybe this web-app could help
  • p.s. leo, how do i model what would happen if alliance 1 killed a forgotten base next to the target?
the influence of player base is weaker than the influence of a ruin of a forgotten base
maybe you have to add to the list an option "ruin of forgotten base belonging to alliance 1" or something like that

I know that a script exists for it but to be honest: I had nothing to do last weekend so I programmed that WebApp

I simply forgot it. :open_mouth: When I have time and motivation again I will update it

Hi, would it be possible to implement a feature where each square have a text saying how much influence (in percent?) each square represents?

My question would be: For what is it usefull? Until now I see no sense for it?

Ah, ok. Possible it is but in this case I do not see a reason for me to implement it.
