This is info from other forum.
They should turn off all server because players who was loged can play.
Players who can't login now can't play and my ruins goes down and i can't jump and my cp and rep are full.
Should fast reaction because some players can play now.
This because some kind of database connection problems there:
"Error 500 - Internal Server Error.

One minute later:

Yet another Error 500:

Murphys law §?? : "if something can go wrong, it goes wrong"
pause would have been good 2 hrs ago i had spent over 300cp and 24hrs rt on a base and with just 2 runs needed to kill it I was kicked off and havent been able to get back on. Not amused to be basically told "tough" you've lost what you spent. Especially as because of the problems with the server starting as i was buying funds it seems I paid for 100k when I only wanted 50k.
Hmm yea it sucks, i'm sure we will be compensated in terms of RT, CP, and hopefully some other gimmicks. (they'd better)
Not the best time for this to happen as i just jumped into 5 waves and it's been nearly 20 hours haha
Just gotta wait it out, see what happens.
But boys, be quick.
I've been replying to many threads about the outage - it is totally unplanned and unfortunately started at the end of the working day in Europe so no developers were on hand to comment, they were travelling home from work.
All game access is still down for me and thousands of other players. It is rare to have an outage that is like this, affecting every EA game from the Simpsons to NHL to FIFA to CnC:TA.
Apparently a fibre cable has been cut somewhere causing the problem. See other threads on the outage.
I am not an employee of EA/Envision. The views expressed are my own!
fibre damage does not explain the time this has gone on, worst case scenario the datacenter should have a redundant connection or it should fail over to a backup datacenter. this should be a basic part of any resilience plan for their services to cater for the JCB digging up the fibre in the road type scenario.
Edit: should explain I'm a network manager and if my services were down this long I'd be facing a very difficult conversion with my bosses in the morning.
I'm sure staff at EA will also be facing difficult conversations, not just 'in the morning' but this evening as EA are primarily a US company and work US hours.
Hopefully lessons will be learned, plans changed and actions taken. For example, both in this game and others, the fact that some can get in (or stay online) whilst others could not means that some had unfair advantages. One action I'd expect them to consider in future outages of this type is the stopping of the clock on game servers. Essentially things that are time dependent don't move on, whether that be repairing of bases, timers for sat codes or other timers in other games.

hahaha , a data centre? i bet these EA servers are in the garage somewhere. hopefully not flooded out or snowed out. but this outage is taking sometime. maybe a sign for us to look for an new game??
