how do you take a lower rank so you can join an alliance??

im having difficulty joining an alliance because they say my rank is to high. Apparently im a Commander in Chief of my 6 bases. how can I change that so I can join an alliance. Do I need to demote the CiC or Pontifex??? THANX

you must demote to member or disband the alliance if you're the only member

What Soixie said. You cannot join another alliance if you are in an alliance and you cannot leave an alliance as a CiC unless you disband it.
