Finding the Center of the World.

Okay, this is probably something obvious I am missing. But how do you find the center of the map where I am supposed to start heading toward. I have no idea what direction it is in cos I cant see the whole map and where I am on it.
Thanks.

  • You can open the World map and click on the center to jump with your camera. If you are in an ally you can place a marker there for orientation, or use your own Reservation marker for example.

But in general the sector you are starting in should give you an direction where the center is, so does the increasing level of Forgotten Bases and Tunnel Exits.

  • Nope, no arrow or anything on the map pointing in the right direction.

http://prntscr.com/lfj34l is the view I get when I look at the world map. The circle is pulsing around my base location in the south east sector, meaning I must move North West to get to the centre.
As suggested, you could place your own marker on the fortress and there will be an in-game display to show the direction to head towards that marker.

http://prntscr.com/lfj460 is the same world but the view when I press the relocate button, it shades red the sector I am in.

There are also at least 2 scripts that tell you the sector and co-ords of the area of the world you are viewing. Check with your alliance leaders, they will also help you.

  • Okay, so here is a REALLY dumb question....but, how do you get those maps? The one I can see is the one that looks like actual ground where you see your base and others around it, and can zoom out just a little. Nothing at all like the pictures you posted!

No question is dumb if you don't know the answer :)

http://prntscr.com/lftamf is at the top right of the screen. Click on 'world' button and you get the first (obviously relating to your position) and within that there is a 'relocate' button. Click on that and you get the second view. Don't click on the relocate on that view unless you want to actually relocate.

  • Ah, okay, thanks. I thought World was the heading for that little column, not a button. Good to know.
