C&C3 officially not supported in Win10?

* Sorry for my English.

In short, the game won't start without any error message. I've visited EA Live Chat 3 times to solve launching issue and there was a sad answer that this classic game is not supported in Windows 10.

Before that announcement, I tried their troubleshooting processes. The list was like this:

1. Delete all the cache data from Origin client and games
2. Run in compatibility mode

Neither worked.

To make sure that this issue is not a problem from my device, I reinstalled my Win10, and just right after that, I installed Origin and C&C3. That didn't work. Compatibility mode on my clean laptop? Didn't work either.

So to speak, there's no official solution for this problem and the EA agent suggested me to visit this forum.

I hope you guys help me with this problem. Thanks.

    There are a number of threads with the same or similar problems. There are a number of 'solutions' offered in this forum on Red Alert Series.

    Other help is unlikely to be forthcoming here as most play Tiberium Alliances and not RA

  • Windows 10 will give you issues, however, for those using the 'Ultimate Collection' version of the game, there are a few things you can do. The first of these is looking for Unofficial Patches (the C&CUC Launcher Patch, found on MODdb*), the other is more complicated, and will involve you clearing the Origin Cache Data (please ask Origin Support about this for the Step-By-Step, as my memory is fuzzy on the matter). Also running as Admin in Windows 7 Mode might be of help to you.
