https://www.ea.com/games/command-and-conquer/command-and-conquer-tiberium-alliances takes me to the landing page consistently. However, to achieve this the location needs to be set to US!

The landing page and updates by the game developers are independent. EA handle the landing page, Envision handle the game updates. Changes to the way the landing page works (or doesn't) are made by EA.

They are aware it happens. I'm not sure they see it as a problem to be solved - the work-around I indicated means that you can land on the landing page and it will work.

Personally, I bypass the landing page and go directly to the world-browser or to tiberiumalliances.com/logout to ensure I can log in. Alternatively, I go directly the world, I can change worlds from within the game. New worlds change the method, but one of these works for me without fail. (There, I've jinxed myself!)

  • It is a problem.

When I search for "Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances", I see no way on how to play the game.

The Locale selector field's value I see/get is "United Kingdom". Who in UK/Ireland/Europe is going to be changing this?

Depending on which "Location" value you select, you'd might get the page with the play button (e.g. Choose Australia, it switches to USA). Or you would get an error (Choose Česká republika). Or no change ...

It is a problem for those in the UK/Europe etc, but not the USA. Work-around as indicated, change it to US. It doesn't affect much other than make things work, if you understand English. If you're using a different language then the dominance of English in the "EA" world is an annoyance, but a fact of life!

As I said, I'm not sure they see it as a problem to be solved. I accept it is a problem, but I don't have any influence on EA and their landing page setup.
