21.3 PTE Patch Maintenance & Reset 06th July

Hello commanders,

We are ready to deploy changes of patch 21.3 for testing on the Public Test Environment.
Patch will commence around 06:00 – 08:00 UTC on Tuesday, July 06. We will reset the PTE on Monday, July 12th. This iteration of the PTE will be regular FA world.
Please make sure to test these changes thoroughly and report any bugs and errors you may find here in the forum. Also, please make sure to take note of the known issues, those will be addressed before long.

Changes:

• Error message for substitutions should now inform players with more detail about what rule is violated, including inactive accounts
• Collect All Resources call from API now has a cooldown and cannot be spammed anymore to combat spamming through scripts
• The Reservation Marker button has been reworked into a Place Marker button
• Entries in your Base shortlist on the right side can now be re-arranged via drag and drop. Keep in mind this does not affect Base lists like in Player Info
• Funds costs are now properly calculated when purchasing multiple items of a supply

Bugfixes:

• 3-digit unit levels should not be cut off anymore in their field
• Players with many Games should not see any performance dips anymore when accessing the options
• Infected Camps should now always spawn with Control Centers
• Addressed an issue with the display of time zones in the Reports and My Games windows
• Fixed error in the Spanish localization with the Reset all filters-button
• Server shutdown should now be announced in All chat channel properly
• Fixed an error that would stretch the supplies when only CP crates re available at the start of the game
• The attack preparation window should now more consistently inform about spectating players

Known Issues

• Digits of until levels are misaligned in their label
• Reordering Bases in the shortlist to the last position is not working as intended on the last position of the list
• Create Marker shows options that are inaccessible without permission
• Localization is still pending for a few languages
• Alliance & Number of Bases has been temporary disabled in the My Games tab of the options

Hello Commanders,

after some discussion we decided to postpone the reset of the PTE slightly, to next week's Monday 12th June 2021.
We will start a small Infected Challenge on PTE for the purpose of testing the aforementioned fix for Infected camps with no CC. The challenge will run from Thursday 8th till Saturday 10th.

I have seen that we already have version 21.3 installed and the first thing that has struck me a bit was that the value of the units is not centered, a black box can be seen to the right of the figure.

works, but name of the button is always shown in english indepent from the chosen language. Tested in different languages.

We take the last base and take it to the first position of the right column of bases (drag and drop).

Result: OK

Now we take base 16 and we want to take it to its place, at the end of the list of bases.

Result: not OK, it only lets you bring the base to the penultimate position. To go back to the beginning you have to move base 15 over base 16.



Note: with chrome latest version. O:-)

They are aware of the issue of placing a base at the end of the list. A work around, for the moment is allow it to be placed at the penultimate position and then move the last placed base up one.

PS there are some more errors/bugs found - see if you can get them

Yes, Bases and Alliance is not showed in tab "My games" from PTE.

I suspect that is by design. The populating of the extra fields seemed to take a long time and was done twice when you have a long list of worlds. Maybe @EE_Elephterion will confirm this is by design.

I am afraid that was a side effect of the change to increase the performance when having a long list of Games, that is accessed every time the options are opened.
For the foreseeable future PTE will have to live with that until we have a replacement that is less costly in terms of performance.
I'll add it to the list of known issues.

It can take a while - I wasn't attacked for a long time.

Yes, I received the first attack as soon as I built the defense following the tutorial.

World is offline now for me.

Ok, I´m in now and recieved now a 3 wave-attack on my smallest Base.

Yes, they did a brief update - I had the normal tutorial attack and it was about 24h after that I was attacked.

For me - i missed the normal tutorial attack and maybe the quest to build the defense with the scorpions.
Maybe that´s the cause of no attacks in the first time.

btw. it would be nice to have a complete (or better) overview of the quests.

I used 24hrs repair packet, 30parachutes spent but 1day repair not added.

found 2 things . on pte .. both is with dead base's not re-spawned. first is if you do not click away properly all the tip windows, when the game first loads about not surrender and re spawning.. . opening the bottom right options menu makes the page reboot (same as it used to) ... it is dumb but also in the native base data menu in top right the repair time for army units shows it continue to increase while base is dead ...until you re spawn that dead base then the repair time in the menu shows correct . it starting over where it left off at time of death.
