Substituting for Friends Error

Can someone explain why lot of players subbing friends on Holiday

Keep getting this message about you can only sub player for 50% of game
When the person you are subbing has been on the World from the first day
And you have only been subbing them for 10 days

How do you fix it
Is it an error that needs EA to fix

Very unfair on players who need substituting for either Holidays
Or if they catch Covid19 and are ill for a period of time

Also makes player look like they didn't help there team mates
Which is unacceptable

I had this error again today for the second player who requested help
And other members of our alliance have had the same issue

  • There is a rule about substitutions. 50% of the time on a particular world. This is standard on all new worlds. It does mean that at the start of the world substitution days are limited. Also, the clock is ticking from the day the substitution is accepted, it doesn't count the time online using the substitution.

    You don't say which world or how many days the players have been on the world so it's difficult to comment on whether there is an error or not.

  • On w50 mate
    The player in question started the world on the first day it started.
    But i just managed to log on his account
    So it seems sometimes sub works then other times its not
    Few of players in our alliance had similar problems
    This is the third time its happened to me subbing others

    When "Maximum possible substitution days" is ZERO, no one can subst.

  • Well the Problem has again happened

    Was working ok yesterday
    But sadly not today again its getting past a joke.

    The player in question started on the First Day of W50
    And i have had sub for only10 days of the 30 days allowed
  • Next time that you log in take a note or screenshot of the substitution page.
    At a weekend errors of this kind won't be looked at.

    Funny never have a problem paying for funds on weekends

    Secondly on the subject of paying
    We pay so we don't get errors or should not get errors
    When one is Reported its your duty to Correct it as soon as Possible
    Error has been pointed out now its up to you to solve it

    If the Service paid for Fails or is Faulty you are Liable
    By law in the UK and you need to provide a refund for faulty services or goods you provide
    Its called a Consumer Protection Act

    Been playing and paying for a long time on this game
    I no when its a Fault on Substitutions
    And i no player in question has not been substituted for 50% of game time
    Its is not isolated case other members of my alliance have had the same issue
    This my 3rd time that it has happened to me on W50 with 3 different players

    Would accept it as rule of the game

    But maybe tomorrow i will be able to login and sub player
    Like yesterday was told the 50% Rule in the morning when i tried
    Then the Afternoon i did actually manage to login into the account as normal

    So clearly that makes it a Fault and not your 50% player time rule.

    Without going into the ins and outs of law, not allowed here, you do know that Envision is in Germany and the UK left the EU so they no longer have to recognise court action in the UK. EA is in the US and you'll have a similar problem.

    When a fault is identified by a user more information is often required and I've requested that. Your assertion of what you 'know' isn't enough to track down a fault. I asked you to post the screen shots when you next managed to log in, I can't see any.

    I've never said it's not a fault. Working at weekends is limited to emergency breakdowns of a technical nature such as a world going offline and not faulty code (if that is what it is).
    Payment systems are run by EA in the US and are automated. When they go down, they have a team to investigate it but at weekends it can take a long time to resolve an issue.

  • Yes, please, it is very important that we all provide the maximum information when we detect a bug with the intention of providing developers with all possible means to recreate the failure in the system and seek a solution.
    Screenshots, step by step of how the error occurs, cause and consequence of the failure ...
    Developers are not perfect and can introduce bugs in the code but they are also very careful with their work and if an error is detected they get down to work to solve it.

  • So Envision is not recognising the UK consumer laws because of leaving the EU cartel

    Think you better inform the UK players they have no Rights to any form of Protection here

    That could be interesting results
    Especially if i inform my Bank and they start to block transactions to Envision
    That will start chain reaction and other banks will follow suit
    After they find there customers get no consumer protection from your Company
    Could be facing a serious dent in your profits
    Think you need to check that out before i Post it in the Forum


    Fault its not Rocket Science its rather basic
    1 Click substitution
    2 Select player press OK
    3 Get message saying 50% of time player has existed on this world
    You really need a Picture

    Yes, section 75 is UK legislation – so is unaffected by the UK leaving the EU.

    It means you can claim refunds from your credit card provider if a retailer or trader is in breach of contract or mispresents goods or services.

    Section 75 also applies to foreign transactions as well as goods bought online, by phone or mail order for delivery to the UK from overseas.

    So that means i report you for failing to recognise section 75
    Your company faces a block from UK banks
    Plus any active for Bad Service. Card Fraud and Faulty Goods resulting in financial loss
    The Bank would refund the card holder
    Then the Banks would proceed to prosecute your company for the money and illegal practices
    So i suggest before you post ill informed statements you double check first

    You have received advice/information from other players of this same game with the intention of helping you or collaborating in the resolution of incidents. If they haven't been helpful, I'm sorry.

  • So what support do you actually offer to players in regards to the game
    If its an actual error within the programming and you cannot resolve it
    What's the point on commenting on the subject in the first place

    Its happened to me 3 times with different players
    And others players had the same thing its annoying
    Especially when you no they haven't exceeded sub days or 50% of world time

    It's not Envision it's the EU that the UK left with those voting for it knowing exactly what they were choosing.
