The Next Step

Hello everybody!

Project is going to evolve. After achieving our own goals, its time to give something back.

Almost 2 years ago Project was founded out of various alliances to win the next WCS.
Learning from the past we knew we had no chance to win against the daunting German dominance that was Schaffa in this game if we did not drastically change things.

Having a bunch of allied groups was not good enough. The international field had more competitive players, but they were scattered across many teams. Seeing big potential in having a strong organisational framework and a united group we set out to gather enough strong players to beat Schaffa.

As you all know, plans are good, but reality often differs. We hoped for a WCS at the end of 2020 already. That did not come. Instead we met Schaffa on Tib 49 and beat them so well, that they never played a server together again. It has to be said though that Schaffa did not start with their full WCS team on 49.

By the time the WCS was announced we were playing Tib 53 and it was boring. No competition and voices of Project being bad for the game got louder. Sure, some people who are not happy to lose, but we could also not ignore it all the way.

Schaffa announced they would not start on the WCS 2021. We were still hoping it may be a trick to make us approach the WCS less careful, but it was not. Other groups started, but competition dwindled down quickly and even at the beginning not just Alpha but all Project alliances were outdigging our opponents.

Sure it is nice to win, but it is so much sweeter when you win after several weeks of PVP against a very strong opponent. Many of us miss the worlds where you had to fight and play hard to win.

So what comes next?
"We won the WCS, awesome - lets jump on the next server and continue our winning streak!" - would be one way to do it.
But that way is no fun for too many. Both for us and especially for others out there. Non-morale Forgotten Attacks is the favourite game mode for most players of this game. And if you believe some voices, we managed to empty these server almost completely, because nobody wants to play against us.
That is a problem. Not just for us, but also for the game itself.

👉 We will stop playing as Project... 👈
... until the next WCS is announced or a team out there challenges us.

Our main goal was to win the WCS. Mission accomplished.

After playing multiple servers in parallel for the better part of a year a lot of us are burned out.

So we decided to let Project rest and stand at the pinnacle of its success and encourage all our players to:
Revive the old alliances or form new ones
Lets play some challenging servers again with intense PVP!

All Project players are welcome here at all times, but its not an exclusive club. You can be a Project player and start something new on the next world.

Discord Server Changes
The server was meant as an internal communication platform for our group. But over the years it grew much further. We have over 700 members on the server and more players in the member section who used to play with us than actively play in our teams.

That is no problem at all, but we decided to open up the server. The public section only exists of an info channel, a public chat that is mostly dead and a memes channel.
But we have much more to offer and we think the game becomes a better place if we share some of that with the rest.

Over the next days we will restructure the channels and turn our Discord server into a CNCTA Community Server

We will share our knowledge base, guides and scripts and move more conversations to the public area. Lets make the server to a place where you can talk about CNCTA, learn how to become better at the game and find new players to play with.

Lets make this game worth playing for many more servers to come!

Project Command

I want to forward the invitation to our Discord server.
Depending on activity and need, we will introduce server specific channels.

  • This is promising. Here's an idea.

Do a very approximate ranking of the top Project players in recent worlds and split them in the style of a "Draft Pick".

Even numbers in one gang, odd numbers in the other.

Have the established CiCs leading, with room for players who have recently played well, but not in Project

Then bring them in East & West in the next world for a great big PvP punch up

    Tipsy (usually Omega)
  • You guys have accomplished your misson. Wow thats an impressive victory - hope you had fun.

Even more impressive is your arrogant input! Looks like you have no idea what you have done to that game - but i´m confident you will find out the next servers.

And what were we going to do?
We completed a job we started 2 years ago to play the wcs more competitively. It is not our responsibility if there were no opponents. I believe that instead of always criticizing try to do something to play seriously maybe it is better. In any case if you read well we have decided to stop Project because we want the game to continue to be interesting for everyone and everyone can have a chance to be competitive. The composition of Project in WCS is too strong in number/quality of players to have opponents in any world so we have decided to stop it. We love this game and we play to win, in project or out project, show if you are capable of doing the same. And don't keep crying here about issues like alts etc. We played by the rules that the game allows, that's all.

    Regards

there were no opponents because you invited everyone in the game to come play with you and by taking advantage of the lack of other options and a meta that allows mass cooperation that is mutually beneficial to all involved, everyone agreed to join what was clearly the winning team. It doesnt matter to me if project is disbanded or not the game is not going to change simply because you all decide to play on different teams. if you take the opportunity to challenge yourselves you will still have plenty of fun and can realize that pvp doesnt have to come with animosity. I really hope something like that happens because than maybe players like me that enjoy pvp will be able to conduct themselves as they wish in an environment that is less abrasive to that player type. ive been putting up with project style players and alliances for years condemning my preferred play style and im more than tired of being accused of all sorts of seditious behavior simply because i would attack another players base. despite what you do there will always be project badges attached to those accounts and cooperation between those players will always be assumed. so it doesnt matter what you say or do now the damage has been dealt and a slower recovery in the player base participating in FA worlds is still highly likely due to the toxic atmosphere created by project style alliance groups over the years and especially over the last 2 years as the project majority has basically forced the competition away from the game completely. you guys decided not to let anyone else play but your own groups and now you have reaped what you have sewn and sit in stale empty servers waiting for the next one, so enjoy these next few FA servers coming up and i hope somehow the player base recovers, the meta shifts away from catering to one massive group of players only and all parties involved learn a valuable life lesson in regards to using a majority of malignant opinions to oppress ideas you may not share until something like this happens and alters your perceptions of the behavior in which your group has engaged in over the past while. congrats to the project community at large on securing gold badges for a small group of players, some of which already had one and were integral parts of your opposition to begin with.
  • Bruell has placed the discord link which has very interesting and helpful guides to be a top player, mainly in early game which allows you to get your 2nd base fast, Bombers and be able to join main teams instead of wings. Lots of small details in early game like having first silos to save cp and take bases later on, refineries after some hours for bombers then 2nd base, etc.

As mentioned, everyone is invited to join, learn and be as competitive as the rest of us. Let's just have fun and leave all the hate behind.

    Cheers
  • you don’t want to understand?
    1. nobody is interested in playing with guys like Ganja and Co.!
    2. so many guys have left the game because of your behaviour!
    3. there will be no competition on the next servers (or you fight each other)!
    4. all your inputs are still arrogant!
    5. there are still no changes to the game -> no chance that players come back
  • I'm not Ganja_PL, just for your information. I'm a different player from Panama...

i disagree with all of those points and you have a bad habit of making the mods close these forum posts with personal attacks so dont take this as one please. but..

    1. there are probably dozens of people trying to join the project ranks and especially in the top teams containing players with skill, many of those offering up services such as spying in exchange for membership lol and i also bet there are hundreds of players proud to be apart of the project group as well that disagree
    2. we cant say why people leave but it is clear that participation in FA servers has dwindled due to mass cooperation controlling the environment and predictability in the outcome too early to make it a challenging and exciting environment. in fact T54 is the busiest over seen a server in a long time, partly due to the relaxed rule set and mainly due to the advance notice of the server starting and increased interest in new and refreshing environments.
    3. i agree that FA servers may still take a while to regain the amount of participation we see in t54, but project participants still have complete control over every environment in the game from FA servers to morale servers and including all servers launched last year as well as t54 now. so look for yourselves in all those last servers and you can clearly see what alliances contain large concentrations of project associates.
    4. so with such mass cooperation and a discord server most of the community is invited to, all of the pieces are in place to completely dominate and control every new environment for the foreseeable future and in fact most people that play this game are project or wannabe... how can anyone in project help but to feel quite dominant and perhaps convey an arrogance to those not included.
    5. i believe changes are coming to this game in the form of relaxed pvp rules in a specific server type, but the progression of them will not likely differ in any ways as we are all accustomed to seeing the same names at the top of the rankings and the same groupings of alliances and deals being made to secure easy victories. with new changes may come a renewal in interest from players that have been inactive during
  • Unfortunately, almost no new players will come to the game, since this is a game where the average age is 30+. The younger generation does not know who Kane is and how he fought with GDI, so this game is not interesting to them. Perhaps some old players will return and then the online will grow.
  • You only need to sell your soul to the satan to get a wcs badge one time i heard..glad i see many didnt.. sad for those with all the big words now are sharing a wcs badge with others who as they were promissing will never play with

    :)
Project congrats, now please kiss my ****
  • WCS demands the best of the best. I tried for years before Project to be part of Mara or Schaffa, but was excluded (because I wasn't that good), and honestly when I approached some of the top players in those alliances for help with understanding the game, it was radio silence.

Everyone in Project was amazing at advice and providing help and input. For the longest time I thought Mara and Schaffa players were cheaters because of how fast they progressed. They aren't. They're just really good, and know how to play the game. I feel fairly confident stating that as long as a player understands the game, knows how to build their account, and has funds (yes it matters), they can be a top player. The first two takes practice and a bit of humility to learn and find why certain things matter. I hope to provide help to new players out in future worlds, and continue to learn and be better as the game progresses.

Likewise. I too tried to get in Mara a few years ago to learn this game better but instead was just laughed at by arrogant players I reached out too. Maybe it was my fault for reaching out to the wrong players. But that just fueled me to seek out elsewhere for tips and tricks. I’m sure we’re not the only ones that had this experience of not being good enough—or at least getting a worthwhile nod; hence, why Project was born.

But I can understand all the hate it’s getting now since that’s how I felt about those other elite teams when they were dominating.

Kudos to Project Command for opening up discord for the community and good job to leadership and the big players in WCS. Thank you.

LOL - ofc you are the good guys here. Bad guys are playing for Mara + Schaffa.

    You make my day.

Have fun at the next wrath server - again you will play alone.

    Edit:
I´ve tried to play with project - but they told me that i have to start in wing Nr.7 :-(
  • We're not applying to be the Saints of this game. And of course the top teams have always been hit on. There are still more than enough players out there.

And the server is open to everybody. That does not mean that we cooperate there. This forum is open to everybody else too - why is writing in this forum no problem?

The decision only came from the fact that we get mails and questions all the time and invited some of these players to our discord just so they can learn and see our ressources.

And after putting Project to sleep, the best choice is simply to open it up.

The goal is also not to please every last grumpy soul out there. Kinchasa is one of those guys who would still complain and rant at a random person gifting him 1000$ just because its a nice day :-D
"Youre trying to bribe me for something??? Do I look like I need your money? Get the hell outta here!"

To my knowledge there will be at least 3 teams from Project splitting away. I have no idea if any of them will go for the new Wraith world. But asking them is probably a good step.
  • Edit:
I´ve tried to play with project - but they told me that i have to start in wing Nr.7 :-(

We've all had to start in wings especially early on. And usually with large alliances especially early on in the server there are 10 alliances. It can be very frustrating being in a wing and not being in main. So, I feel you. I would say the best bet is join the Discord. If anything, the Discord has a ton of guides, tips, and tricks, and everyone on there will be down to help you out and give advice. Honestly, that's where the community is. Make an effort. Learn. Stay humble. Never be afraid to ask. Share something. You may discover or learn a tip or trick that works for you.

I don't think a single person in Project will ever turn you down if you are asking for advice, how to play better, etc. I've been playing for years, and I still learn something every server it seems, and I still ask questions. Shoot me a message in Discord. If you're playing the new world, I'll start there with you and we can talk strategy, and such for first week of the server. I'll likely not be playing the whole world as I am a soon-to-be father. :)

Never said the former champs were bad. I’ve always respected them as a whole, except a few arrogant players. Even congratulated them after their victories.

You, on the other hand, brings nothing to these forums other than nonsense, twisted opinions and trolling. Try being constructive for once. Might make your day better.

Yep. I, myself, never knew the infinite decoy trick until I saw it in the guides. Always learning something new in this game.

Congrats, mate! Enjoy it. You’ll love it.
  • Guys don't bash the guys for offering to make a change for making an offer to you to partake in a bigger group. To try something different. Try it out if you don't like it or are treated unfairly then move on but pointless continuing to bash Project until you at least see what they will offer.

Remember they could just keep swarming servers with accounts and winning all as they have done in recent times. But no they see the game needs fixing and they are willing to try something new.

@Bruellhusten1 I love PvP nowadays badges mean little or nothing to me but I very much doubt i will take part as i dislike Forgotten attacks and never play them. But good luck with your idea and hopefully you guys can build some competition back into the game and reduce this "join the list for a badge routine"

Games are meant to be fun ;-D

Congratulations to Project for winning. I implore all of you to refrain from personal attacks on each other as that isn't conducive to good order in any forum.

As already stated, if you wish, join Discord and learn. If you don't wish to then that is your choice, but don't moan about those that do.

The entire community already knows that if you want to play ina server long enough to learn and grow, you have to be apart of project alliances or else you will be swiftly bounced from the server as soon as they have the size advantage to wipe you out of it. most people that still play this game know most of the tricks and the key to fast progress, they just may not have all the scripts and support that come along with being project members.
