Discussion on use of scripts

The use of scripts is not prohibited in the game, moreover, there are tools provided by the developers themselves to improve the game.
What should be absolutely clear is that the development of scripts that go against the rules of the game or that can be used by other people in an inappropriate way is FORBIDDEN.
Using scripts or the number of scripts that can be used is only limited by the capabilities of the machine on which they are executed.
No one is forced to use scripts, at least NOT by the developers themselves, but if your commander in chief tells you to use them, it's up to you to decide.

I think the big differents is not having some scripts.
I think what people should complain about is the fact that every major alliance eventually demands u to give ur login. This way so they can move ur base, setup for attack or a defense if ur at work or atleast not online.

Officially its forbidden as the AE terms of use clairly say u may not give ur account details.
However none is banned restricted or punished for that fact gives the meaning that people can do whatever they want.

I myself dont use many scripts or often. What i mostly use is a quick overall view of what my bases are producing. The fact that a CiC can say u give ur login or ur removed from the alliance is what i think power abuse. But again.. All the big alliances do it, none is ever punished so whats the reason of making these posts?

    Sincerely

This thread was started by a person who wanted to know if the use of the scripts that have been created for the game was important or not.

The issue of a CiC asking you to hand over your personal account data is not addressed in this thread.

EA asks you not to do it but in no case can it prohibit you from making use of what is yours, they will simply ignore your problems in the event that they detect that you have carried out such an action.

In my personal case, many colleagues have offered me their credentials to help them at specific moments but they have never demanded that I hand over mine. And I think I have complied with them and not have harmed them, or not too much in the last case.
Not a part of EA / Envision teams - My comments are only mine.
  • I was going to reply to this as i am or have in past been a CIC too (any Clown can be a CIC) however I won't as this thread is about scripts ;-) If you wish to discuss that further then you should start a new fun thread. Scripts, I love em and they make the game more simple and more simple for a Clown is more fun.
  • 0-script server? That would be a challenge I would like to participate in.
That will never happen, of course... $$$
  • Server without scripts sounds fun. It maybe feasible if they launch it as an "install and run" game. Mobile version and a steam version will attract more players as long a they provide cross play.
