Memory problems in chrome

Hi, there seems to be some really bad memory issues when using Chrome which is making the game almost unplayable. This is not just my problem but it seems to be widespread. I have removed all scripts and tested and the issue of chrome crashing within a few minutes persists.

Clearing cache etc makes absolutely no difference at all. Any ideas what can be done to fix this?
