running Red Alert 3 CD key issue/Security

Good Morning,

I have had issues lately with not being able to run Red alert 3 due to a security issue. In the past i replaced or reloaded my PC/PCs and reinstalled the game and never about security around my CD key been used to many times.

lately I has replaced my PC due to technical issues and after I installed red alert 3 with my very own set of Discs and a legit CD key. I have used these discs and CD key in the past when i previously had to replay or reload my PC and never was I questioned or given an issue around limitations on the amount of times my CD was used.

Now my game wont run and give me and error I need to buy additional CD Key due to security issues. how can i overcome this issue. i only replaced my PC and never had this issue before. Any assistance or help would be appreciated.

  • I notice your ID has changed to a hex string. This happens when you've not logged into Origin.com for a long time and it marks your account as 'inactive'.

    You can log into origin with your password and original e-mail (hopefully you still have access to it) and change your ID to what it was previously.

    My guess, it is only a guess, is that the string that forms part of your old ID is part of the registration of the game with EA and as that is now not recorded it is objecting.

    If that fails then I'm afraid that other help here will be extremely limited for what is a very old game.
    Unless someone else has solved this problem for themselves you're effectively on your own here. These forums are primarily for the Tiberium Alliances version of the game.

  • thanks friend, i do have a question around how do i find out what my old account details ? ID would be if i do not recall it. Would Origin be able to assist me with those details? I Could possible crete a new account and then see if that works? Ould that help?
  • Origin has had the old ID wiped because of data protection rules (according to EA). I don't know if a new account would work. You could try EA support but I doubt they'll be much use. Good luck.
