New log in procedure

    I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I appreciate the work of the mods and others offering solutions.

    For a company to fundamentally change the portal where customers login and pay funds to that company, and break it to the point where the lifeblood of the company is at risk - and not communicate in some way to the paying customer - is amazing and more than a little disappointing. Customers money that has been used to purchase is wasting away eg. people who increased CP will hit their limits and not gain any benefit.

    The game developers didn't actually do the change so it is none of the above - it is EA who may fit in with all or some of the above!

  • At a minimum a thread from the developers would be nice where they could post some updates from time to time about the login issue...
    I have read through the unsearchable forum for 2 hours now and think it would be A LOT easier if there had only been 1 thread from the developers named "Login problem - Information updates & tips" or something like that.
    Seems to me that with the amount of players (paying customers) having a problem with this we deserve some attention to this, even if the update from the developers would been "We still have no solution but we are working on it.... Sorry about this"...

    My final drop was when they released the info on the upcoming update and not even had a comment about the login issue...

    If players (members of this forum) had stuck to one thread it would have been a massive one, but as you say easier to follow.

    The number of threads created and the variety of issues the login problem created meant that as moderators we weren't able to sensibly merge threads. I've merged threads in the past when we have issues as have other moderators but on this occasion we were too stretched to do so.

    We've also seen in the past that even if we have comments from the Developers of The Game the comments don't always get confined to that thread.

  • Oh yes I can fully understand that... But think this time it was a little over the top compared to other issues so it could have been made as an announcement with hints and updates, then all those other threads people started about it could just be pointed to that announcement thread where people can't post anything... :)

    It wasn't meant as criticism as much as a tip to get it collected more in one place :)

  • The problems are getting worse. The latest problem is that the game appears to stop responding and logs out my account when an attack begins. It's like The Forgotten are attacking me with a virus and are able to cut off my communications. I click the Attack button and my Command Points are deducted, but the attack won't start. The game then either continues draining my Command Points with no attack, or the game throws me back to the www.tiberiumalliances.com/home page and indicates that I'm not logged in.

    When I try to log in again, I am redirected away from tiberiumalliances.com to signin.ea.com. If that login scheme works at all, the game refuses to start by the Play Now button. The Change Server function at www.tiberiumalliances.com/game/world is still broken, and https://gamecdnorigin.alliances.commandandconquer.com/WebWorldBrowser/index.aspx says "accounts.ea.com redirected you too many times" in the frame where the player's active worlds would be listed.

    If I continue trying to log in and start the game, it does eventually start, but then it's back to the attacks not working. This game has really been screwed up because somebody decided that the working login scheme must be replaced by an incompatible login scheme, and now the game has been made unplayable and not fun. It is also not reassuring that the announcement for the upcoming May 23 patch does not mention anything about these problems with the broken login scheme.

    I'm with everyone else here, not only is logging in darn near impossible I was unable to play at all last weekend. Additionally I have several accounts that I've normally played at the same time via multiple windows, now I just get kicked off when I log into another one. What in the crap is going on? It seems that you all just don't want people to play here. Good grief I've been playing for years and now it's impossible to play in a reasonable manner that doesn't just drive you crazy! Can y'all get this mess fixed? What in the crap was wrong with the way it was?

    wonderful. you fixed it. i was good for a day or two. and now you screwed it up again. I try to change servers and get that dam cropped login page. once you fix it, leave it alone. this game has been in place for 20 YEARS. So what you can do is stop trying to "improve" what worked for that entire time.

    this is what i officially got in my email from EA Customer service and game tech's about the login problems. and a month worth of communications in regards to issue.


    My name is JP and I am a specialist here at EA. I am currently looking into your case and first of all, let me apologise for any inconvenience caused and the length of time you have been waiting.

    The good news is that your case is now in my queue so I will be able to keep a close eye on it and will do my best to respond in a timely manner so you are not left waiting.

    So I can see here you are having issues after being a long term player with C&C Tiberium Alliances.

    I carefully read through your conversation with the previous advisor who has sent this to my department and I have been looking into this for you and my colleague who is an Expert for our other titles has informed me that any requests regarding Tiberium Alliances needs to be referred to this specific forum - https://forums.ea.com/en/commandandconquer

    I understand your frustration and also that you feel that no one cares about your issue but I have been informed that as long as you post on this forum that one of the moderators will reach out to you directly.

    Multi-accounting was not the reason for the change - security of the login procedure and making it 'work' the same as other EA was.

    I know, it doesn't work yet!!!

    then in via
    https://gamecdnorigin.alliances.commandandconquer.com/WebWorldBrowser/index.aspx

    for each account you play.

    This link gives you error 500 now.
    The other link is darkblank.

    The error 500 has been resolved i am now told and the website and login seems to have returned back to normal.

  • But still no change/new world. before switch to english language worked,now its dead.
  • Nope I am STILL getting no joy with the PLAY NOW button, it still just refreshes the page, this is way beyond a joke now !!!!
