I guess this is just a continuation of EA and the moderator ignoring customers. Easier to close a discussion than it is to resolve and explain the issues. I believe an explanation is appropriate given that this is a repeat of a problem that existed before servers were ever moved!! I also believe compensation is owed by EA. The loss of crate collection and the time lost is a financial loss to players. That doesn't mean a discounted funds sale!!!. How about 1000 in funds given to all, EA.
Complaint threads do not get closed arbitrarily and if people actually looked to see if there was a similar issue being reported and added to that single thread it would make the life of Envision staff easier in that all issues will be in the same place.
EA generally do not view these forums, only players (including moderators), Envision staff and of course Google bots.
My understanding is that EA is more a contracting group and sub-contracts to gaming houses world-wide to produce the games they sell as their own. The gaming houses are responsible for the mechanics of the game and in our case the support for in-game issues.
The games are hosted at data centres no physically close to the gaming houses so if there is a connection problem they have the same difficulty reaching the game as we do. They do have direct communication routes to the data centre staff who then can check internally what is wrong and can alert them 24/7 if a problem is identified as being general. I've alerted Envision staff at a weekend evening and they've responded by checking then alerting the data centre.
EA provide very limited support for the game via 3rd party support centres.
EA provide (probably via 3rd party contract) 'support' for financial transactions so if funds are not appearing or there is a problem buy funds then they can provide support.
As i started this by saying, 'My understanding' I wish to emphasise that this is my 'opinion' based upon experience and could be totally wrong!
I'll repeat also that I share the frustration about the lack of public communication about the issue from whoever it is that is contracted to provide it.
Believing the sky is orange doesn't make it true. A single thread or two on topic is appropriate, 50 separate threads shows desperation, a lack of understanding how forums work, a complete lack of disrespect to mods and 100% pointless.
But i get the big picture now , this forum is only for ingame problems.
There is no way or place to kick against EA to express the feelings for the Masses.
We can whine all we want but wont be heard.
You're right - whining here about EA does not get anything changed.
Gamerdruid is overwhelmed to say the least but, there is no way I would accept money from EA.
There is support for players who pay money to play the game and EA has been generous with those whom have contacted them properly over server outages.
There is nothing owed to anyone leeching the game as a free player.
can someone please ban this **** from the forum, the game itself is annoying enough as it is we don't need such wanna be mods here
specially since he dont know what he is talking about, ea has always compensated these thing's a bit, by far not enough but they always did give us some rt packages and those were always for everyone paying or not and they will do that again this time

I suppose I could be wrong from the perspective of the trinkets EA has tossed everyone. Trinkets like a few CP packages or RT and yea, you're correct, we'll see a few of those if the past is any indication of future rewards. For those of us that pay and those of us that pay well, 3-5 days downtime represents 10-15% loss of asset/time. EA has offered resolution directly to many players that followed the proper channels, did you get yours or simply coming here to flame ?
There should be one place where costumers can ventilate.
Everyone hides behind everybody , EA , gamedeveloper or Hosting Company.
Noone wants to give any Information , hence i dont even trust what they write here.
Even the top moderator (with repspect) cant tell us more.
EA , and the Hoster should read and react to this Forum !
I work in a small firm as a Computer Technician , even we can offer same or next day solutions to our costumers.
This kind of outage is a abomination.
No one here closes topics because the subject matter is "indelicate." These forums server many purposes including expressing frustration. If you can do that in a reasonable manner I can pretty much guarantee you the topic will stay open.
They do know that in-game related issues and connectivity can't be addressed by them so they pass it on, just not to the right place as we are as unable to sort connectivity issues of the kind that has happened this weekend.
If phone support can't help and you can't help, who do we contact???
I've spent the last dollar I will on this game, unless EA comes out with some statement of what is happening and what is being done to address the problem that has been occurring for months.
Perhaps you should all resign as moderators as a sign of protest!
