I keep reading tweaks and changes to the post-fortress game, none of which helps the fortress killing alliance do anything. Until a suggestion is made that helps post-fortress players with an attainable new goal then I don't see that the developers are going to be changing anything!
How's about this: after the fortress has been destroyed by the winning alliance, special forgotten bases spawn on the edge of the world (Across the whole circumference). Its the retaliation of the entire forgotten armada after losing their fortress whilst they haven't went to the center in time to further enhance its defenses. These special forgotten bases can only be killed by the winning alliance (and anyone who also subsequently destroyed the fortress), and it slowly spread towards the center unless every trace of it disappears. It will be very slow, like a rate of 1 base per sector. It could be 1 base thick or up to 10 base thick.

At last something new. I'm not sure that it is sufficient to attract a winning alliance to the edge of the world if they were assisted by a few wings, but it would be a start.

I suggest after 3 fortress kills the world is locked to new players too.

  • How's about a completely new world style? Instead of the world being a circle, it should be a very long rectangle. Its width is 4000 blocks, each 500 is a sector, like east, south or north west. To the very bottom of the world is the spawn locations. Forgotten bases are scattered throughout the region and in certain areas (like 20% of the rectangle's height) there is a forgotten fortress for an entire alliance to kill. Once that's done, the alliance moves on and that fortress is killed, leaving an empty area for other players to pass through. The Alliance would just keep going north until they cleared like 5 or more 'forgotten fortress walls'. The world's height is around 8000 blocks, with a fortress every 4000 blocks. The developers could take down the world and then increase its height.

if you cant see how unbalanced the game is you are dreaming, never seen it so one sided with what feels like only temp new players, the game world has changed, and ea need to get with the times, i for one am bored with it and started playing else where, same group of players able to dominate and only get worse for people trying to play catch up, so much missing and taken away by devs because people cried, and the only thing they listen to was stuff that would help ea make more, if this is what it become, pfft should of left years ago, been waiting for something for ages.
  • @gamerdruid: post-FF solution?

1st alliance won't win straight away when killing the FF, as, as its last move, it fires off 50 'escape pods' which will end up spread around the FF at a sufficient distance. These things can only be taken down by members of the alliance that triggered that same 'pod'. Once taken down by a member of said alliance that one player gains his medal. Details to be worked out.

That is the partly the purpose of the fortress retaliation. The fortress attacks if you remain within the hub circle (and a little bit beyond). Players adapted and a wing alliance moves in ready to take over any high POI's within that area. Maybe, the retaliation distance could be increased, but players would still adapt.

Well, we could make the Retaliation hit everyone, but that would be kinda the nuclear option, and I suppose players would still organize a Wing to take over.

  • The nuclear option would be great. It would make it more competitive after a fortress kill. Also, I would like to suggest a world where everyone has limited command points and repair time. It would not be good for EA because of the lack of "buy in" but it would create a level playing field. If you have only 48 hours repair time and 500 Command points you are no longer allowing well funded players to "buy" a strong team. I enjoy funding my account so I have 15 days repair time to fight. That said, I would enjoy a world where we are exactly equal and rely only on "in game skills" to advance quickly.

only the WINNING TEAM get the nuclear option ..

but i do agree with thr equal level funding playing fields .. as its far too easy to see #1 #2 #3 teams with same players all time who fund say up to £150= to play ......... and it mite make the game more competitive and that
  • Anything with FA off is fine by me.
  • Obviously with new eco, not the real vanilla classic.

Maybe you can't edit your publications because you're only "new member" but if you reach "member" the option to edit must be activated.

  • I think you're probably right. My alter ego GamerPTE1 can't edit posts either. Obviously, as a moderator I can do many things more than a member so can edit, delete or move anyone's post, although it is rarely necessary here.

    For Tib43:

    The morale system is off.

The forgotten attack system is on.

Le système de moral est désactivé.

Le système d'attaque oublié est activé.

Got a question about FA worlds that have level 80 as maximum base level. How is one going to defeat the forgotten fortress if its at level 80+ and one only has level 40 units by the time he reaches it? Will there be a change in CP generation and package production, like 50% faster? It would take longer to conquer the fortress cause there's now a high level difference. The forgotten attacks will just make it worse...

The level of the fortress is a calculated level - based upon the top 10 bases
So if the top bases only have a level 40 or so offence then the fortress will be lower than if you have level 60 bases. There is a minimum but that hasn't changed.
