    Yes, this sub-forum is 'technical issues' but the technical issue was inability to log on to ANY and ALL EA games, not just Tiberium Alliances World Tiberium 42.

    What was causing those issues? Certainly not a game bug as that would not affect the rest of EA games.
    As you have noted, they attacked at 4am European time. That is a feature of the game where players are in multiple time-zones on each world and is irrelevant to the login issue.

    As for money - I spend money on the game too. I have family too. I also sleep and don't use scripts to attack others. You were unlucky to be kicked from the server Tib 42 and they were lucky not to be kicked, but a conspiracy theory isn't going to work as it wasn't about Tib 42 not working. Is it fair, no. Is life fair? No. Some things you can do nothing about. Give up the game if you wish, EA will lose out your money but I doubt they'll notice even the 50 players in your alliance not spending or even if it was 250 if you include wings.

    Compensation - you'll probably return to the 'rollback' but do you know if it is technically possible in this game, I don't know if it is. Compensation is allocated to everyone so 100 x cp crates won't help just you. 12h rt crates won't help just you. Compensation is never going to be one sided and favour one group over others.

    I don't want any compensation, it's not life, it's a game and I expect everyone to be in the same condition, doesn't it work? Stop the server but don't give anyone a chance to take advantage of the situation not because is good player or spend more money or time, simply because he had a great advantage not for his own skill.
    Rollback impossible? Why...... I work in IT and rollback is possible in all situation.
  • This is wrong. As Accept said, if the service is down, then keep it down all weekend or for a period pf time enough to truly resolve the issue. This will make it fair to all.

    As Accept mentioned, Iron Wolves (our opposition in Tib42) are North American players who usually PvP when most of our team is asleep (around 4 am to 9 am UTC/servertime). We have been preparing for them and their plans to take center. In the first screenshot i provided as you can see, we killed one of their biggest mains and a few others as they tried to sneak one on us but we caught them. Many of our European players have been staying up all night to early morning because we know IW attacks around those times.

    The second screenshot is a result of the login issue the game been experiencing and IW capitalized on this by killing our mains in center without any resistance from us because we couldn't login. Many of us were awake and tried to login many times to no avail. For many who played this game and won first places, they all know the importance of POIs and controlling the center. Well guess what, thanks to this login issue, we just took a big hit and loss a big advantage. Is this fair?

    We can look at this from multiple angles and still come out to same conclusion, this would have not happened if game was working or if game was just fully shut down until issue was resolved. Heck, we can even call this out as a violation to the TA rules found here https://www.tiberiumalliances.com/rules. Second last sentence of that page states "Abuse or exploit bugs, undocumented features, design errors or problems in the game.". This is exactly what IW did, they capitalized during problems in the game--we know many other teams would do same if presented the opportunity. Which brings us to only blame EA and the servers for this--hence, if issue is present with login/authentication, then shutdown all servers automatically and boot everyone so no damage can be done while restoring service.

    So question now is what will the devs do to rectify this issue and the new problems it created?

    For many of us and our teammates, this is one of the most expensive servers we've played. Our team broke up last month but we continued because we know we can win here and have been pumping unusual amount of funds to compete only for this incident to shoot us down. This is very disheartening.

    We demand a rollback. If a rollback is not possible, we are requesting full refund of funds vested in this server and IW can have it.

    Rollback impossible? Why...... I work in IT and rollback is possible in all situation.
    I've never said it is impossible - I don't know if it is or not.

    Good luck @inzomn1a with the violation of rules route. I think we all know that is not going to work. There are many, many rules violated throughout the game and still nothing obvious gets done.

    What will the developers of the game do? I don't know, I'm not a developer of the game. It wasn't a problem of their making (the EA login issues).

    Maybe if this had happened on a weekday during the afternoon the servers (all of them) would be stopped, but it didn't. Yes, they have emergency teams for when the game servers fail and they often manage to fix them over a weekend once they are alerted. But, the issue wasn't a game server or something the developers have control over.

    What isn't in place is a decision making process to trigger that sort of response. EA are poor at communicating the issue to gamers even if the technology tells someone in EA there is a major problem.

    1) Giving compesation to all won't fix the problem. We don't need this compensation.
    2) Refund our teams money and IW can have the server win
    3) IW asked us to play fair , we had a deal. What do we see? They broke the rule. We all have reputation. I don't respect people who don't follow a deal. But that is my personal problem.

    I worked for EA not directly as a special VFX artist with weta digital (of course if you know who is the weta digital which I doubt you know anything in this life!) I created many effects for EA games and this game is included so if I made error I should fix it isn't it @gamedruid?!! but I need to ask you some questions here so the rest of members know about you: What is your rule here? in other words, what is your exact job here?! can you explain to us?!! because as I see you are doing nothing simply. You can't even sort any issues from any level!! So what you are doing here?!! Since I played this game I found out you are not willing to understand any facts even with solid concrete evidence!! you just keep telling us lies and try to maneuver to save EA rather than admit it was a fatal technical error done by the EA affects the entire results as it happened in WSC 2019!! EA team must take full responsibility and try to fix it. This forum is full of complaints due to errors/damages that were done by EA to players /alliances and as usual, no one from EA took full responsibility and tried to fix it!! they keep pushing you in the scene telling us the imaginary situation and we must accept the damage! waw what a problem solver you are!! Tell me why this unprofessional attitude?!! this is not the only big issues here but we have another catastrophe problem in this forum it's you @gamedruid you are the big issues here in this forum "YOU ARE NOT HELPFUL AT ALL NOT EVEN CLOSE FROM BEING HELPFULL", so why you don't just leave us to deal with professionals rather than spending our time chat with you trying to explain & show you the real facts but you can't understand it!! I'm sure it's bigger than your knowledge & you are not a fair/professional person! Ask your superior to send us a technical person/profession from EA to sort out our issues.

    @gamedruid you are free to go so we can get someone who can sort our problems

    I know my team (TTD) very well more than you do @gamedruid, They are elite players know how to play this game not just fresher player like yours know nothing about this game

    I will say I am not an employee of anyone. I'm not here to address player or alliance issues, I am not someone who can sort out your problems either of attitude or anything else. I have no 'superior' or ability to send a technical person or professional from EA either.

    If you knew anything about these forums, EA and the game you would know the role of a forum moderator and the limits of that role.

  • @gamerdruid you mentioned "I'm not here to address player or alliance issues" so what is the point of creating this forum then? and what is the forum needs for if this platform can not address any issues!!! Can you tell us to whom we/players/alliances should comply? This is a really very serious issue and we must reach the technical team/or a person with authority so we can explain the entire situation and fix it rather than spending time in chat/post! besides, I know this game very well I spend months with my colleagues try it and fix the graphics bugs/errors before it published online and I know how to play it more than you do! give us a solution what is our next step rather than post your opinions!

    It's funny how one-sided your report is,
    you were only able to "steal" IW forgotten bases and shoot 2 of their players because of the login problems. Otherwise they would have had a much better starting situation than your 2nd screenshot shows. If you think you are in the victim role, then tell the backside of the medal!
    The truth is rather...1-3 players who were still awake could not log into the other accounts (which is forbidden by the way).
    And posting permanent insults shortly after that in world chat, does not show your personality.
    I'm with you @gamerdruid ...because they present themselves only as being damaged.
    And a medal have always 2 sides!

    it was two days before this event / before the Sunday disconnection for the electronicYakuza server .
    So please stop because it is starting to catch the peak of hypocrisy and this conversation is becoming only one-sided.
    We demand talks with the EA authorities, not equal treatment must end!
    As they turn off the server, it's not just for some players!

    @Mwuwu your comments its really funny made me lough at you like crazy!! was,, I thought you are a better player and know how to play this game and being fair player but you are far from that, you know very well your alliance have no chance to win here unless EA gave you/your alliance the chance to kill players near to the center due to EA technical errors which they can't admit because they are cheaters like you!! what a bravery?!! let me remind you and your alliance, IW can't overpowered any strong/elite alliance with an honor play, let me remind you if you forgot or ask your cic/sic they might answer you if they can what Koegy/nubai did to all of you in T38! all of you were crying like a baby were thinking to leave the server till koegoy stoped his test and left the world to amateurs like your and your alliance preparing himself for the WSC server,, anyway it seems to me Federation/IW/Unmentionable nothing more than just a bunch of cheater players and no fun to play in your funny alliance & for @gamerdruid this gay is funny too he is totally useless here so I will ask him to change his name to Mr. Useless and find better job more suit him like marketing cuz need to lie a lot!! God how much I hate idiots!

    I'd like to underline that that is not a usual situation. We were few cells from the fortress. Well defended from IW atack, caught them in the morning and strike back.
    Now we lost all our advantage. That cost money to us. Because we spend a lot every day and were preparing for the fair fight.

    Because of this bug we all were knocked out and some lucky guy could logged in we were all wiped without any chance to strike back. I think no need to write all of this here again. Just read this topic carefuly.

    I am not here to address player or alliance issues. This is a forum where help is offered from experience by players to other players. Look at the co-operation it generated to amend the TABS and TACS script packs. Technical staff are present Monday to Friday. They have read this thread and understand the issues. As posted by @EE_Elephterion the issue was beyond the control of both the game management and EA and didn't just affect the TA game (as I've been saying all along). Those conspiracy theorists that think the problems were caused so one team on one world could gain an advantage should examine that premise. Who could cause issues outside EA that affect EA servers for all games? Did they do that to gain an advantage?

    To those that refer to this incident as a 'bug' then you need to understand a little more computing!

I request you as a former EA member to look carefully at our claim and our evidence and put this issue in your priority. Please do investigate the problem and how it affected the entire server and changed the entire situation because of technical errors members can't log in and the result was a catastrophe. We are looking for a solution here and we are sure that you will put the right judgment in the right place

Now you started telling us fake stories about a conspiracy theory which we never said this! as you said you are not here to address any issues or not willing to understand what is the EA error cost us so why are we talking to you? your not welcome to be part of this conversation anymore, no one asks for your useless help! just leave it to the people who can really sort this issue.

    if anyone doesn't know what is the meaning of graphics bug I'll be more than happy to start free classes for freshers ;-)

    hi,

    i've done screenshot of this moment. i was on line just before and i've been kicked out and no way to relog for about 40min. the screenshot were done just after i could relog.

    first this image https://imgur.com/1Ex1iL5 shows that at least 11 player were kicked at same time. some were near the fortress where the other alliance strike. they could have defend.

    second this image https://imgur.com/eXyvw51 shows when they strike us.

    nobody could log in so they easiely strike us in few min...
    my wife is in another alliance and have the same issue at same time.

    we're staying on line all night in order to take advantage ( i was awake at 4pm.. ) and all our effort are lost in morning because of server kicking and loging problem.

    it was a critical moment for us and it's hard to understand the situation now.
    why some players could attack while server are down ? it's not fair play....
    i sure there's a solution in order to avoid it again.

    there's also lots of bugs when attacking on this world. freezes during combat etc...i knows it's the same for all players but it's not a good playing experience. we've to refresh page during battle frequently.

    i hope you will undestand the situation,

  • well the whole story sucks.
    it sounds like what i expierenced on weekend. with vpn addin on chrome and spanish gateway i was able to login without issues. with normal german ip i wasnt. so it makes totally sense that you were attacked by another "world region", when it is the same even in europe.

    Regardless of who is to blame for the technical problems, it is EA/Envision's fault, this messed up the server for a whole lot of people, and it is completely unfair that a server is being decided by a coin flip
    We are not Vegas gambling here, are we?
    Some kind of major compensation is due for all the people adversely affected, imho

    Thank you for promptly acknowledging the concerns voiced here. As stated, this was especially a delicate issue with Tib42 since the team we are up against are North American players who were likely experiencing minimal issues compare to our European players (see Chertosha's recent post here) and thus the login issue caused us to lose our advantage.

    I understand a rollback would be unlikely and unprecedented but this would be the only true way to make this a fair playing field again because compensating everyone with same RT/CP packages for loss time will not mitigate the damage done--hence, the issue caused one team who was less impacted by it to gain a good advantage.

    This is a game played by players across the globe so it doesn't make sense for one part of the world to be able to get in or remain in the server while the other side is kicked out and can't get in. Perhaps, implementing something ingame to kick everyone out when something like this happened or automatically shut servers down.

    Again, thanks for hearing us and I hope a sound solution would be considered and implemented for these type of outage.
