Authentication's fail?

Replies

  • I have submitted a complaint to EA help. But nothing has been done so far
  • We are trying to get in touch with the engineers at EA, for now can you try private browsing tabs when using multiple accounts and report back to us if the password reset still kicks in?

  • I doubt that would solve the problems. The reset happens in private browsing tabs.

The password reset is always done from a private browser window but sometimes it works the first time, other times it requires several attempts and other times, it ends up exhausting my patience because other problems arise.

Example: Last night I reset the password like six or seven times and I couldn't do anything, today it worked the first time.

Note: I have access to a friend's account to enter from time to time and not lose progress when he playing a new world. With these problems, he is already thinking about whether it will not be better to stop investing in new worlds if he lose what he spent.

Note2: Every time I cannot connect to an account (with the different worlds that I play in it) and I have to leave, it means that I lose resources and sometimes bases, it is the moment that I take the opportunity to remember EA relatives. } :-)

Ops, I forgot to indicate it: If you have "profiles" in Chrome (a separate navigation window for each player) and you activate the save password field (store cookies) in most cases it works fine and you don't have to reset the password.

  • Well, now that I have entered with my username I am going to change the password to establish

Ha ha ha, in incognito mode it keeps showing the Origin login screen as it is not possible to authenticate a user, try later. :s

I have tried in Iron Browser WITHOUT incognito and then the authentication system works.

It seems to be totally inconsistent. This will make it worse for players on the WCS - some will get 10's of alts and be able to log-in while others will not.

  • After checking a few different logins today I started getting the "were having technical difficulties" message - it's been hours and still can't get in - tried private browser same thing
  • Also reset PW and still getting same message :(

Typically the this happens, as you've discovered, when you check a number of accounts in quick succession. The 'technical difficulties' seem to clear the next day although the timing may be 24h +/- 12h.

I'm still trying to get information on the timing and if the changes are intended to limit multiple accounts. No-one at EA is responding with clear information although Envision are also trying to find out this too (and more!)

Your tag line, "Always testing something" needs changing I think.
It should be 'Always being tested by EA!'

At last an answer. Players may not like it but alt accounts are a big problem and this will reduce their viability even if it isn't the direct intention to do so.

    One more time...

    27ivhwbuoofp.png

Recovering my password twice, it won't let me in saying that technical problems continue and I have my password reset for the third time. :-(

LogIn into EA.com, not game or nothing similar, EA site.

Edited: Nine times and I can't LogIn in EA site.

Nine times EA blocked my account with no reason.

Once it is barred on a day, nothing you can do will help. There is an anti-digital fraud level and once you pass it then you're barred for the day (I'm not sure how long for, but in my experience I've been able to log on the next day.)

Forcing you to 'recover your password' is part of that 'feature'.

    Uff, bad feeling-
Not a part of EA / Envision teams - My comments are only mine.
  • As I have already said, I believe that the fight against cybercrime is important, against those who try to harm others or the companies that offer us their services.

In this case it is a question of accessing the EA portal, to request help and they do not allow me, they reject me. They have had me hanging around with account locks and retries to finally not answer my query.

Do you only attend inquiries when they want?

This is disparaging a legitimate user of your gaming platform, not a fight against a criminal.

That is, they decide who and when can play any of their games.

"Don't look, this morning you've been playing for a while, now you can't go in because EA doesn't want to and I don't care if they're destroying your bases or your soldiers or whatever"

Then they wonder that people have such a low opinion of them.

If they have blocked your account or your access for a certain number of hours, I think the correct thing would be for them to indicate it to you in the message or in the notice.

That way you wouldn't spend an hour changing the password, testing, changing the password again, trying another computer, changing the password again, etc.

  • Now I can play again but... not sure for this night. :-(
