  • Remove bonuses when in PvP that could make things interesting.

    I would like a server where there is an appearance of a nuke somewhere around where the satellite wreckages happen. This nuke appears once a month ( 5 days to use it) and the cic of the holding alliance can pick the detonation of it anywhere in the world, A 20 space area will become completely levelled. One restriction being that you can't detonate right in the middle, anywhere outside of the hubs.

    A mass destruction device is an interesting idea. Details will make or break it though. For example some alliances have more than one player as 'CiC' so which one will be able to deploy it, or do you have a new rank of Supreme Commander who is the only one that can deploy it?

    its a cool idea and a very old one, one of the best suggestions for setting off a nuke was having one spot in each sector that could serve as a launch pad and like the hubs would need to be fully controlled and a timer set before activation. i thought that was a great idea however it would not help anyone else in a server other than the teams able to reach them first and chances are it would always grant an advantage to the larger and further progressed teams. the idea behind a nuke was to be able to create a way for a team to come from behind and possibly even out a center race making for closer battles over first fort kill. right now in the current state of these servers it would most likely serve as a terrible imbalance abused by larger groups of veteran players. however in certain environments for example FS worlds they could be placed at irregular intervals and used as a sort of preinvasion tool.
  • OK, heres a fresh idea.
    FA world, NO POI's. NONE !

    Put everyone on at least a square playfield for once. Place the emphasis on a players skill to manage ALL the resources needed to advance.
    NO get to the middle and control the best POI's
    NO quick dig to the early POI's to get the advantage.

    Worth a shot, and I would guess super easy to implement.
    Please raise your hand.

    At least we could get a new world idea, the rest are getting tired....

    Sounds very like the worlds I've been told about that existed at the launch of the game. Except of course they didn't have a Fortress nor Forgotten Attacks.

  • Any update from developers? Are they interested in any of our ideas be them new or old?

    I think a no POI server would be good it would certainly balance PvP between the alliances only differentiation would then be size and tactics a much fairer game for PvP ;-D

    EE_elephterion has responded in other threads about changes, so yes they are interested in new and old ideas. As has been mentioned it can take a long time from idea to it being agreed to be implemented to actual implementation. It took what seemed like a very long time for the level 80 world to be born despite it being requested as soon as it was seen on the PTE that the bases of players could go higher than level 65 which happened by accident from a wayward script in the early days of the PTE.

  • one thing that might change the dynamic quite a bit, and I think is worth trying out on some future FS world

    what if resource poi gave bonuses in percentages relative to your own production for each base, rather than in fixed amounts

    right now it's unbalanced:

    when the world is young, your own production is low, but getting a poi really is overwhelming vs your own production, this is why the FA tunnel digging is so overpowered, your tib and power bonus is a lot larger than your own production, you only need to build silos and accums not to get red in a couple hours

    in late game, after you reach the center, all the resource poi quickly become obsolete, and need not be held at all

    with percentage bonus, however, you don't get as much in early game, but you keep getting quite a bit in late game, and it is really worth investing in something to get more - at any stage of the game

    thats actually how it should have worked in the first place, i cant believe the difference between this post and your other one, i like this one

    lol i think my perspective is quite clear in this game to be honest, and this solution is how it should have been and it could also include credit poi with this formula. you guys are so wrong about alts and pvp i dont need to argue or take insults, the problems are quite clear and i think its you guys causing them now, just look at your severs. project. and be ashamed.
