22.3 Patch and Scripts disruption - WORKING LAB

Hi all. As some of you may have noticed on PTE there is 22.3 server code.
I can't find the announcement for this patch but i can see that code has changed (mainly recompiled styled code). This is good but will cause (as you can see) quite 80% of scripts codes to fail cause they rely on regex matches on code strings.

I'm opening this "crisis management", "emergency response" thread for 22.3 and scripts disruption.
You will find here all scripts failing and possibly the fix version. I will populate the list progressively but I can already say the most scripts will need a fix.

IMPORTANT

- All fixed codes should work on both 22.2 and 22.3 PTE
- QUITE ALL NES CODES REQUIRES LAST VERSION OF INFERNAL WRAPPER TO WORK ON 22.3

Next version of script pack extension will include other bug fixes not 22.3 related for:

- Maelstrom ADDON Basescanner AIO

  • Update.. maybe i fixed TACS TABS and infernal.. but i will not publish the code till i don't see any interest on the problem. Sorry for that but it is starting to be my personal fight against the unknown and I don't like it at all. I will keep working. Next stop is themovement.

    Not a part of EA / Envision teams - My comments are only mine.
  • maybe themovement fixed it required heavy work on regexs
  • Also wavy fixed (for now...)
  • MovableMenuOverlay fixed (my code.. was easy)
  • Updated main post. I heard 22.3 is at early stage with more joy to come. we will see if that could be the end for scripts or not. For now i will not publish any updated code for at least 3 reasons: 1. What i have just said. 2. According to some discussion in this forum maybe someone could try PTE with few scripts working. 3. I would like to understand if people are interested ... apart from people i see using my extension. Maybe it could be just a waste of time for me fixing and publishing working scripts codes.

    I'll try to be simple:

    1.- Not everyone who plays enters the forums and even those who enter there are things they can read and do not comment

    2.- Your work, like that of the different script developers, is very important for the community of players that use them

    3.- The flexibility to use or not use the scripts is currently available, I don't think a new development of the game is necessary to control this. If you don't want the scripts, don't install them and that's it.

    4.- In no case, none, I think that the responsibility for all the changes of the scripts should fall on a single person who has been participating selflessly for years and providing the community, free of charge, with the best scripts for the game

    5.- Once again, thank you for all your time and work dedicated to us, the crazy players.

    I forgot the most important one at the moment.

    If the new version of the game is not finished or almost at the end of development, you should not spend time on it because many things can change you, as you well know.

    Hey, maybe this isn't related but where could I get in touch with you? I'm interested to help you develop scripts as I don't have any CnC script experience but am experienced otherwise - could really use some pointers. Something like discord would be nice? Or if you use anything else that's also fine ^^ Let me know? Thx!

    yes probably ... i will put infernal wrapper as first public code so you can test
    you will find it in testing branch

    At the moment scripts community need testers first of all to find bugs and not working scripts
    for 22.3 (as it is a early stage release with no info) i managed already to fix most of scripts and will keep find others that are failing.

    As of now the good news is that as long as i can see the game code itself has not changed BUT it has changed the compiling format and this causes quite all regex match to fail (the code now is like 'minimized' but it is the same). TO let you understand i'm attaching codes of one function che infernal patches so you can see the difference:

    obviously the internal functions names are different per server so you just can ignore them

    Maybe some bug related to wrapper?

    alsoi found a bug we did not noticed in AIO .. it fails when you have not an alliance. THis is caused by new code we added in previous version for players city scanning. I'm uploading also this new version on testing. (ONLINE)

  • Ok guys i am also currently on PTE, for now i have zero scripts working. :smile: do i need to deactivate / activate anything?
  • As you may have seen, on the PTE server they have installed a version of the game 22.3 but it is not a final version, we have been told that it is a version very early in development.
    @o0netquik0o has immediately got to work and has managed to start some of the scripts again, in this same thread he has indicated the ones that he already has resolved and working.
    BUT as the developers have warned that many things may change throughout the development of this new version of the game, it does not seem appropriate to continue to fix more problems with the scripts that will stop working ... tomorrow?
    By this I mean two things:
    - I thank @o0netquik0o for the altruistic work it does for all of us
    - I don't think it's right that he have to waste his work/time coding and recoding as you go from 22.3 to a stable version

  • Hi guys. I am continuing to work with all scripts (see news on main post). As i finish patching all the seem to fail and if we won't have any news on 22.3 i will publish all above codes on github testing branch
