Convinced Coin Packs are worse than UFC Point Packs

So I've ground out a ton of coins this week to try and get some of the "Move of the Year" cards. From last weeks fantasy event packs, to the "throw back" packs, to the "Premium Move" packs and the regular Premium Packs, I've probably opened 20-30 packs since these cards went "Live".

I've not seen a single one. I just opened 7 5k Premium and one of the 7500 Throwback UFC204 packs, I sold every single item that wasn't a fitness boost or an athleticism boost.

Out of all the packs I've opened since the release, I got 2 5* stand up items in the 7+ stand up premium packs I opened. 1 LW Kick and 1 Womens Kick. Everything....EVERYTHING else has been junk.

I refuse to buy the UFC points, the packs should be the same. But I just fought a new guy, someone who's gamer tag I've never seen, whose total fights (I looked at both his offline and online UT and Ranked matches) was under 300, who was 100 overall with with 130 wins and 4 losses, no other fighters with anything more than 40 wins, all 5* Perks, 90% 5* moves, and his bars were balanced such that you can tell he put a ton of athleticism cards onto the fighter.

Now, unless he spent $1,000's of dollars on packs, tell me how the packs can possibly be equal. I'm willing to bet the coin vs points option is also coded into the store to provide different chance percentages for each pack.

But hey, on the bright side, I did get a 200 coin redemption card in one of the packs....like really? (no not in a daily win pack, in an actual coin bought pack there was a 200 coin card in it smfh)

  • The packs are a complete rip off. I use coins to buy one of each but I think some people buy the whole 10 available in the hope of completing fighter sets. That too is futile as I did that only once and got 1 set item I didn't already have. I've found that the best way to increase your athleticism stats is viaitem scouting. It only cost 500 coins to refresh and you can hold an item for 25 points if you really want it and don't have the coins at that time. This is a far better use of coins than throwing them all at packs. That's just too big a gamble for me. Item scouting is the way to go.

PS. You can usually tell within 30 seconds if you're up against a fighter with maxed out athleticism. It's like trying to beat a tank with a Super Soaker. My advice is to just quit the minute you realise he's juiced up. That way, they get **** too cos no one is willing to provide them with cannon fodder. Good luck

Odds are they guy you fought with the high stats is a delete and repeat grinder. The reason why his fight numbers are so low, compared to the cards he has is, a. You're right he paid for packs, or b. He keeps deleting his UT fighters, runs through early divisions, cashes in and keeps deleting until he has enough cards to start using his athleticism cards.
While I have noticed a dip in the number of big pulls I get in packs, I have consistently been getting attribute cards in packs lately, usually a bunch in the flashback packs. Not all are useful, shortage of leg power and choke attributes, but finally got the chin cards I needed for my wrestlers, we can have a whole other argument how UT screws the grappling bases.
I agree the system is too random though, there should be something in the code that recognizes your not deleting and gives you cards to build your fighter.
I think a lot of your frustrations would lessen if they fixed the matchmaking, division and OVR determination formula.
There either needs to be more divisions or make the brackets smaller, someone with 100 fights shouldn't be in the same division with 1000 fights. Athleticism needs to have more weight when determine OVR, and matchmaking needs to factor in when lag is going to screw you no matter what.
  • I don't think they are delete and repeaters. You couldn't max your athleticism that way as, you lose your fighters attributes. What they're doing is losing or quitting to enable them to remain in division 1 or 2 and maxing out their fighter that way and at the same time collecting the attribute cards needed for their other fighters. I honestly don't think it matters if you take a dip in any base stats either, just as long as you focus on your athleticism. It's literally impossible to beat, or even compete against anyone with full athleticism, regardless of their skill set. Those guys are winning fights without even applying any moves to their fighters as their athleticism is enough in its own to win fights.

I'm not worried about athleticism. I'm fine there. I want the Move of the Year cards. Please re-read what I wrote. It has nothing to do with fighting someone who's 100 overall. I beat him. Has everything to do with the cards that come from Coin vs UFC Point packs.

again, I don't care about attribute cards, I'm talking about the Move of the Year cards. 40 packs opened now and haven't even seen one of them.
