Thoughts (Concerns) with Target Passing
Overall, the feature looks great. It should end the frustrating tendency for receivers running out of bounds after catching a pass. But being the negative/pessimistic/glass-half-empty kind of guy I am, I have three concerns
1) Kudos for EA bringing back the vision cone without really bringing it back. Personally, I liked the vision cone so no issues here. But this feature is very reminiscent of the vision cone
2) What I haven't seen was how ratings affect target passing. Target passing seems to be about putting the ball at a specific spot on the field. Will guys like Mark Sanchez and Brock Osweiler perform this feet as well as Brady, Rodgers, Brees etc ? (This assumes you're playing on the simulation level)
3)My number one fear: warping. I will put the target 12 yards ahead of the receiver and we will see the receiver warp to the target.
Sorry, but EA has the history of putting new features then we need to wait 3 months for it to be patched. Just two years ago, we saw this with even the most mediocre WR pulling a OBJ spectacular catch at will. I understand there is (supposedly) a difference between arcade and sim but we shall see.

That leads into a fourth concern: will defenders magically defend a pass they didn't see? We know this has been a problem for quite some times... defenders back are turned to the play yet they whip around a defend the pass at the last second.
Well if it does show on defense at least I will be greatly tested to see how good my quarterbacking skills are in Madden NFL.
