why no online game lobby h2h

i haven;t played madden for a few years 2013 was the last year i bought it. got 18 why is there no pregame lobby to see my opponent there connection or what team they are using? you just load up into a game against someone. i want to see what team i am playing against before the game starts so i know who to take and how to match up. why did they get rid of this?

  • I think it was too make the matchmaking system faster.
    Madden fan since 93.
  • Ya i so miss the days when you were able to see your opponents dnf, blitz, pass, run, and 4th down percentage before you play them. Were able to weed out the cheese bags from the actual football lovers before entering a game.

I miss those days too... But the drawback to that type of system is that people were able to cheat the ranking system for the same reason. They could bum-hunt by preying upon the weakest players and in extreme cases, play against dummy accounts. I remember one year the top ranked played had 72 shutouts in 72 games, all against one opponent.

The lobbies were removed partially as a response to that type of cheating.

  • I see what ur saying. But I still would like to see who I'm playing. B4 the match starts. They can still do the random match up. But instead of Goin straight to the game. Both players selected team comes up. & u can compare stats b4 u decide on if u want to play that person. & it would keep u from playing the same cheesy team. Back to back to back
