Trading in Franchise Mode

I’ve been experimenting with trades in offline franchise mode. When I created a franchise without a fantasy draft, I noticed that trading for stud players who are on the last year of their contract deals and are above 26 years old are fairly attainable (EX: Kuechly, K.Mack, OBJ). The rookies with quick or above developments ( EX: Barkley, Chubb, Guice, Jackson) are much more difficult, if impossible, to obtain via trade.

On the contrary, When I do a fantasy draft, the aforementioned veteran studs are much harder to obtain via trade because they all are in the first year of a five year contract.

So, ultimately, it appears that contracts and salaries do play a big role in trading. Likewise, youth and player development do, as well.
