    Please, Please fix the issue where player don't show up in cfm real life roster as free agents. For instance Dez is not there to be signed and is not on a team. I don't know if its because he is retired in game or if you just don't add him to the game but please do something about it. Its not just Dez either there are other players too. Like Eric Reid before he was signed by the panthers wasn't there.

  • ROUTE ADJUSTMENT TO COVERAGE!!!


    I've been frustrated for so many years that this has not been addressed. Good receivers with even average awareness ratings should be able to recognize coverage and adjust their routes accordingly.

    Examples:
    • Receivers running any sort of crossing routes should SIT DOWN in open spaces when facing zone coverage instead of running right past the open space toward the next defender. Being intercepted because the game isn't capable of this kind of route adjustment is infuriating.
    • Receivers in the Red Zone should run fade routes based on the coverage they are facing...soft zone and man should cause the receiver to run a stop fade and tight man or jam zone 2 should cause the receiver to work to the deep pylon in the corner of the end zone. Accurate quarterbacks should be able to drive the ball to the outside on a stop fade and throw with touch over the outside shoulder on a regular fade. Fade passes are always thrown dangerously inside and too much on a line because the route is always run so poorly.
    • RB/Slot WR/TE should sense the sideline when running swing/flat routes and adjust accordingly rather than continuing inanely out-of-bounds. If the ball isn't delivered quickly, these receivers should either sit down near the sideline or turn their route into a wheel downfield depending on the coverage they see.

    These are just some of the basic fundamentals in the passing game that are frustratingly missing from Madden, and have been for far too long. Please address this already!
  • When will you guys fix the issue of Franchise mode not going pass the third or fourth season without the file getting corrupted?
  • Really need to fix Adrian Peterson being considered a rookie in CFM I know he was a late addition but he's going into the hall of fame and EA has none of the career stats in there for him. Was going to see how close to career running records I could get him but that isn't going to happen. Also have a friend who has 30 plus sacks with Shazier by blitzing 5 DL then using Shazier and blitzing the open gap. I know this is a harder thing to tackle then the career stats but hoping we can get to a point to where the computer adjust better to user play. Its just sucks to see a very visual pleasing game that falls short in delivering a realistic sim mode. One last complaint would be seeing a player get a injury and stand up and run of the field when he ends up having a leg injury.

  • Is it possible for QB and WR run animations to be changed. I don’t think any QB does high knees trying to escape the pocket. If possible, could we choose (In franchise) to hold the ball like Odell after he catches the ball. A solution for this could be run style choices/animations for different positions. Also, on speedflexes, the rim of the helmet almost covers the players eyes. In real life, the players eyes are in between the middle of the facemask and the top of the facemask.
  • Could we possibly get injuries & more realistic fatigue on comp mode for CFM. We like the user emphasis on comp but we still want chances at injuries in actual games played not sims.
  • Will the QB Vision be brought back or at least made optional for gamers that want 2 use it for better ball placement & better ball direction when attempting a pass.
  • Can you fix the crashes that are happening in offline connected franchise...getting really tired of restarting a whole new franchise around the year 2021/2022/2023 and 2024 😠😠😠
  • Thanks for listening on the commentary for Custom draft class names. In the future would be great if you can expand on this like you had in previous maddens. Where commentators use the players names in their play by play calls more frequently especially on defense (never said for custom players especially on big plays like sacks Ints and touchdowns for both). Just makes the experience so much better.
  • From the looks of these notes it seems that the playerlock camera on the defensive side is still not back for cfm when playing as a player. Even though it was removed last update you still had that camera option when on defense during punts. Is this a camera angle that will be brought back or will we be stuck without that extra immersion on defense and the ability to see the backfield clearly?

    Personally without that option for the defensive playerlock camera angle creating your own defensive player in cfm just seems lackluster and as I said for me personally ruins a big part of cfm that I loved to play.

    So please it would be great to know if there are any plays for this to come back in the future.
  • So I’m sure no one at EA will even look at this or care to read but it’s worth a shot I guess. So just helping you guys out. It would be nice for fans to be able to add turf tape to other players. Only Alvin karma got tape and fans want to add that to other players and created players. Different lengths of tape would be good to have too. Would be a great update and fans would enjoy greatly.
  • Years of dreaming for defensive players to be allowed on offense just like in the NFL...think CB Jamal Agnew for the lions running jet sweeps...flashback to Deion Sanders running routes as a receiver. Please let us put D guys on O and even O guys on D for that matter. I realize that MLBs can play TE. The problem is also that no offensive stats show up either. So if my MLB scores a TD on a catch his stats never go into the player stats screen. It’s time EA. And it really happens in the NFL so let us do it. I’m sure I’m not alone. Anyone with me??

    So Far Plays a lot smoother...Dre Kirkpatrick,and Joe Mixon face recognition please. Cover 9 plays way better against trips.

  • Just want to say that the disengage angle adjustment is a subtle change, but very nice. Also the coverage improvements are good as well. CPU RBs and returners finally run with urgency now, good work there.

    IMO in User vs CPU games the aggressive catch animations from Madden 16 should make a return, the rest of the game can handle them being in the game now. Also I hope that winds over 9 MPH having way too much affect on ball flight can get fixed this year. It's been off for a few years now.

    QBs have way too much time in the pocket, especially on PA plays. Average pocket time in NFL is 2.7 sec. The fact that u are penalized for user pass rush is baffling. 70 ovr o lineman shouldn't be able to block elite pass rushers on sim mode.

    Love the game play changes! I was able to play a handful of salary cap games tonight and this was without question the most satisfying and fun gameplay experience I've had in years.

    No one ran the same plays over and over. I could run the ball effectively verses dollar defenses. Coverages held up and required good reads or good throws to beat. I was able to win games against players that last week were beating me by 30 points. Thank you!

    My hope is that you can stay ahead of the curve and continue to refine the game as the jerks continue to break and ruin it. This latest patch really feels like the type of experience that I've been waiting for all year.

    I did encounter a bug that blocked me from being able to snap the ball on offense. I believe this is happening on some shot gun formations in the Browns playbook.

    Going forward, here are some things I would love to see addressed during the next patch.
    1. When players sky kick to the fullback on kickoffs there should be some kind of risk verses reward. Currently this kick is near 100% repeatable. I think it should be harder to pull off and have a chance of going out of bounds or give the receiving team a way to block it better.
    2. I still feel that user controlled defenders have way too much range. I work very hard to create plays that will fake users out, and I do, but their recovery time is so fast that I can't throw the ball over top of them. It's really frustrating and destroys play action passing.
    3. I love salary cap mode because it requires players to have strengths and weaknesses. However it appears that it was changed to allow 850 points verses 800. That's a big change that allows more strengths and covers up more weaknesses and that creates less competitive game play imo. Here's why: Players are so good at min\maxing the meta plays and they work very hard to dumb down the game so that having 3 fast wide receivers and Mike Vick will allow them to score at will. Giving them more cap space allows them to have better offensive lines or a great running back, and suddenly every team is the same - great.

    Think about how rare Tyreek Hill is in real life. One team has him, not every team. Think about how important a great pass rushing defensive end is. Yet every team in competitive games has two. If players want weapons like that fine, of course that makes sense, but there should be more give and take. I feel like these great players should cost more than they currently do. In the case of Tyreek Hill you really need a great secondary to contain him. Which just seems unbalanced to me. I'd love to see a great deep threat like Hill cost as much as the secondary required to defend against him.

    For starters though, please consider lowering the cap back down to 800.

    Thank you again for all your hard work. I can't wait to play again, hopefully before the next glitch plays are discovered and my sense of balanced gameplay is lost once more. Keep up the good fight! It is appreciated.

    Seems like this is the only feedback they aren’t listening to each update I keep checking to see if they have added it back and it keeps getting ignored everytime.
  • Did this patch make running even harder vs cpu? Are the gameplay fixes for online only? I have yet to have a 100 yard rusher in a game, which is nice change for once. It shouldn't happen every game. But after the patch I ran 19 times for 16 yards. That includes one 10 yard stretch play, so that's 6 yards on the other 18 run plays for my starting RB. Throwing the ball on every third and one is getting really old because I know I'll never pick it up running the ball.
