Is 99 Speed REALLY truly the max speed? MUT Chemistry question.

In MUT, let's say theoretically your base speed is 98, and you use chemistry to give it a boost of +3. I know it says speed 99 but do you think there may be a "behind the scenes" actual speed of 102?

not sure, but I think 99 is the maximum. my impression is that there is no difference between my 99 speed players, no matter whether they are "99" or "103". I have Jerry Rice (95 speed without chemistry bonuses) and Randy Moss (99 speed without chems) and both have the same chemistries (+4 speed). I think there is no difference between them, at least as I can observe it ...
