Upcoming Patch Information

I'm assuming the next patch will mainly address some of the gameplay issues that have been discussed recently, which makes sense. I'm more curious as to when the issues around the Create-A-Fighter system will be addressed. Is there any information on when those changes will be made?

Replies

  • They have to update the records of fighters every month. The last update was the 20th. So I'm guessing Sept around that dat e
  • That would be good, I'd just like to hear something about the various issues within the create-a-fighter system, and when those will get taken care of. Maybe I'm overlooking them, but I've not seen any posts from the devs in response to those issues being brought up. I know they've got plenty to read through on here, of course.
  • I will be starting a patch spoilers thread on here as soon as I have info. Ea has agreed to pin this thread when it’s made. Stay tuned.
  • Fantastic. I will keep an eye on that. I'm hoping that the changes outlined in one of my previous topics will be addressed.
  • And @bfield6661, if you're putting together a pinned thread, here's some info you can add to it, just in case you don't already have some of this:

    CAF Fighter Type

Set it up where you can assign specific moves and attributes to the fighter in offline mode, but are forced to choose a fighter archetype when playing online. This would prevent OP CAFs from dominating online matches, without sacrificing offline customization options.

    Fighter General Info

In addition to name, age, hometown, etc., we should be able to assign a career record to the fighter. Creating someone like Fedor and having a record of 0-0 just looks weird.

    Fighter Clothing

With the accessories like necklaces and t-shirts, make it to where players can just designate this gear as pre-or-post fight only.

With the trunks, set it up to where players can choose colors beyond black and white for the UFC gear. Also include trunk color selection for the licensed fighters when making pre-fight selections, like we had before.

With gloves, add the UFC-branded gloves at least as a default choice. Not having this feature seems like pretty big oversight, but one that can be easily fixed.

Give back the ankle wraps. Licensed roster members like Volkov have them in-game, should be able to add them to CAFs, too.

    Other Observations

The following fighters need updates to their character models:

    - Todd Duffee - Badly needs bulked up and his head shrunken.

    - Derek Brunson - From what I can see, he needs the same treatment the developers just gave Paulo Costa, just not quite as extreme. Basically, his shoulders need to be a bit wider.

    - Zabit Magomedsharipov - Make him a bit more skinny/lanky, shrink his head, and give him longer hair.

    - TJ Dillashaw - Shrink his head, widen his shoulders, and tone him up a bit.

    - Uriah Hall - Bulk him up a bit and give him his beard.

    - Francis Ngannou - Shrink his head a little.

  • Forcing us to use archetypes offline is the only single reason why I still didn't bought the game. It's killing literally entire fun of playing for me, since I play offline only.

I feel you. I primarily play offline, as well. I can appreciate the additions regarding hair styles, extra gear, etc. That's all well and good. But taking away moveset customization, attribute allocation and perks for CAFs wasn't just disappointing, but really surprising, given the active creative community that's out there. Really hoping those issues are fixed soon.

Good to know. I will keep an eye on that, and hopefully we'll see it get pinned. Should I paste the material I mentioned into that thread?
