as a work around I set my depth chart on the online h2h menu then I leave my ps4 in rest mode with the game launched so the next time I want to play online I don't have to reset my depth chart
I found out this is not considered a bug and by design. I've relayed everyone's sentiment here on how it can be inconvenient to re-adjust the depth charts, feedback like this is a great addition to a quality of life change list.

I don't even know how to respond to that. I can't believe that's by design. What were they looking to accomplish by doing this? Surely they make roster changes as well when they play online and could see its inconvenient for online players especially. I guess it'll be a few months before we get a fix, if ever.

I don't understand how this is "by design" it hasn't been like that in the last 10 years of Madden so why now? Working as designed is not a good enough answer. FIX IT!
This doesn't make any sense @EA_Blueberry - At the very least I feel you owe us a clear explanation.
The feature has been in the game since forever basically, it's a massive time-saver, why on earth will you make it harder for us to play the game? it's very time consuming for no reason.
So people stop playing h2h and only play MUT to give you guys even more money? that's 100% wrong - explain yourself, give us even one legit reason behind this silly, terrible decision.

Crazy since when have you not been able to save your depth chart? That by design excuse is trash. Please add a formation subs tab next to the depth chart tab this would save a ton of time and make gameplay more efficient. This is already in franchise mode and is a great feature.
I'll be waiting for a response by @EA_Blueberry on this. It simply doesn't make sense and we demand at the very least if not a fix, then an explanation.

There is no way this by design, every other Madden made you can change your depth chart and you can do before the game and still play h2h so why not let you save it? Funny thing is I can leave h2h and come back no problem but as soon as I save then go back it makes me redo it. Thats by design?
Actually @EA_Blueberry - How could this be by design?
Think about it - they're allowing you to save the depth chart for as many games as you want to play with-in that session of opening madden, you can play all day long with that same saved depth chart right?
So why did they changed it "by design" that when you close-then-open madden, it's no longer possible to save? it doesn't make sense.
They are literally allowing it to be saved with in the session so they didn't prevent it by design right? so why not allow it to be kept after closing?

Bro, this is ****. I been reading this whole thread tryna find answers. I reeeeally hope they fix this Depth Chart stuff not saving. It's really annoying having to fix my DC every single time I log on to Madden. Other than The Yard and FotF, all I play is Ranked Matches... I might as well chalk this up as a waste of money because I won't be playing Madden (and won't even bother buying next year and beyond) if this isn't fixed.
@EA_Blueberry - I'll still wait for an answer on this because again, it makes no sense they're allowing us to save it DURING a game session for unlimited amount of games, they're literally having a depth chart option.
So how could it be "by design" that we can't save it for multiple sessions?

Thanks for the reply @EA_Blueberry - Appreciate you're seeing this through until it's fixed!
Waiting for the next update from @EA_Blueberry
