Any chance controller select could be unlocked in Offline Franchise mode? It would be cool to play as both offenses. https://forums.ea.com/en/madden-nfl/discussion/262833/let-us-use-controller-select-in-franchise-games-no-reason-whatsoever-not-to
This message is from a Dad with Two Young Men that love football both gaming in playing. That is so upset that Madden keeps updating the game. What madden forgets is some people live in the country and don’t have the internet bandwidth to keep updating. My boys have decided..no we have decided that we are not updating the game until after this November update. If it do not make a statement that Madden is listening to the people. You may have lost your future generation of game buyers before they could buy there first game.
It’s been a few weeks since the last blog and we want to share our timing and plans for the first of three planned franchise mode updates for Madden NFL 21.
As we mentioned in our last update, this work requires a lot of planning and careful implementation. However, before we get into the specifics of the update, we want to let you know that our goal is to ensure all planned updates made to franchise mode this year will not require you to restart a franchise to have access to additions made to the mode.
We have been listening to your feedback and are targeting mid-November for the first of the three planned post launch franchise updates, which will address community requests including:
X-Factor/Superstar Ability Customization: This highly requested feature by the community allows commissioners to assign X-Factors to any player via the edit player feature. Once a player has met the criteria to unlock an X-Factor ability, commissioners will be able to edit their player's Superstar abilities and Superstar X-Factor ability by selecting from those available within his position group. Users will have control over this functionality in both offline and online Franchises.
Player Card Career Stats UI: A top community request for several years now, the team is revamping the statistics on the player card to include more context in season stats, like week, opponent, and outcome, while also providing what team the player was on for every year of their career.
Dev Trait Regression Tuning: The team is doing tuning work to player development traits in Franchise mode to ensure a proper balance of Superstar and X-Factor players when progressing multiple years in a Franchise.
Playoff Bracket: A visual playoff bracket will be added into the game that reflects the new Wild Card format, allowing users to see the full playoff picture.
As always, thank you for your passion and feedback for Madden NFL. As we’re working through implementation on these things, things on this list might change. And, we look forward to sharing a firm day with you for the title update once we have it.
Make sure to tune into Good Morning Madden every weekday morning on Twitch where we talk through your feedback and provide insight into the development process.
Thanks,
Madden NFL Team
These are all very minor tweaks that I don't think are very important. I realize the game is already released so we will have to wait till next years game for an overhauled franchise mode, though. Which is why I am not buying Madden 21. Why are custom teams with full customization not in the game? That is one of the top things on my madden list. As well as Specialty coaches, like offensive and defensive coordinators. Revamped scouting system could be nice. More players from the CFL and XFL. This would bring some more interest from Canadian fans especially.
Be able to move team twice and game still recognize team name. I don't mind relocated team names but hate that certain cities don't have any or you have to move to certain places for a name. I like moving Oilers to OKC but then the game no longer recognizes name and they are announced home or away team. Would be nice if game said their name. Also free agency is so fake. Too many times the best players don't get signed. It's insane
We are licensed to make the game per the NFL, so having players from the CFL and XFL would have to be something the NFL would need to agree with. Since they are competing leagues, I'm not optimistic on it. There is an option to create players in game and save them to a roster if you want to create your favorite players from those leagues to use them within a Franchise.
While minor to you, these are some of the heavily requested features among the community which the team reviewed through various forms of gathered feedback. Coaching and staff management is coming in Madden NFL 22. See the whole breakdown on what the team is planning to do for Franchise for both titles in this thread below.

Like I said in another feed that you replied to me on, I do agree with a lot of those things you are looking at working on. The one thing I do think is minor though is the team chemistry and commissioner tools.
I understand what your are saying about licensing, but I don't get why madden is the only game that doesn't have all the pro leagues across the world. NHL and FIFA both include all the top leagues across the globe. There are some players in the CFL and XFL that I don't understand why they aren't in the NFL
