Making Progress!

I see that UFC-branded gloves have now been added as a CAF clothing option, which is great. Very much appreciated. Also happy to see that Kattar and Munhoz have been added to the game.

I know other gameplay elements will likely continue to be the focus of future updates, and that's fine, but there are still plenty of other changes that need to be made, and I don't want them getting lost in the shuffle. Here's what I'm still seeing:

CAF Fighter Type
Set it up where you can assign specific moves, perks, and attributes to a CAF in offline mode, but are forced to choose a fighter archetype when playing with a CAF online. This would prevent OP CAFs from dominating online matches, without sacrificing offline customization options.

Fighter General Info
In addition to name, age, hometown, etc., we should be able to assign a career record to the fighter. Creating someone like Fedor and having a record of 0-0 just looks weird.

Fighter Clothing
With the accessories like necklaces and t-shirts, make it to where players can just designate this gear as pre/post fight only.

With the trunks, set it up to where players can choose colors beyond black and white for the UFC gear on their CAFs. Also include trunk color options for the licensed fighters when making pre-fight selections, like we had before. Far too often, I see fighters wearing the same color trunks during bouts, which shouldn't happen.

With gloves, corner color tape (red tape for the red corner, blue for the blue corner) isn't showing up on the UFC-branded gloves for CAFs. This doesn't need to be a pre-fight or CAF selection option, it should automatically change based on the corner the fighter is in.

Give back the ankle wraps. Licensed roster members like Volkov have them in-game, we should be able to add them to CAFs, too.

Other Observations
The UFC Apex should be a venue option without the Contender Series theme included, given that this has become the UFC's primary venue in recent months.

The following fighters need updates to their character models:

- Todd Duffee - Badly needs bulked up and his head slightly shrunken.

- Derek Brunson - From what I can see, his shoulders need to be a bit wider.

- Zabit Magomedsharipov - Make him a bit more skinny/lanky, shrink his head, and give him longer hair.

- TJ Dillashaw - Shrink his head, widen his shoulders, and tone him up a bit.

- Uriah Hall - Bulk him up a bit and give him his beard.

- Francis Ngannou - Shrink his head a little.

- Anthony Smith - Overall, needs to be smaller. He's considerably bigger than other models in the same weight classes, especially the middleweight version of his character model. The tattoo update was appreciated, but the size of his model needs addressed next.

- Johnny Walker - Slim him down a bit. He looks way bigger than most other light heavyweights in the game, and that goes beyond his height.

- Angela Hill - Update her hair style.

- Michelle Waterson - Also update her hair style.

- Mike Perry - Update his hair style, bulk him up slightly.

Future Fighter Additions
Away from everything listed above, I'd also like to see the following fighters get added in future content updates:

- Michel Pereira
- Khamzat Chimaev
- Michael Chandler
- Marlon "Chito" Vera
- Megan Anderson
- Felicia Spencer
- Maycee Barber
- Tanner Boser
- Amanda Ribas
- Ricky Simon
- Brian Kelleher
- Lando Vanatta
- Bryce Mitchell
- Chase Hooper
- Andre Fili
- Hakeem Dawodu
- Mark O. Madsen
- Geoff Neal
- Vicente Luque
- Marvin Vettori
- Darren Stewart
- Cyril Gane
- Jiri Prochazka
- Eryk Anders
- Ion Cutelaba
- Paul Craig
- Khalil Roundtree
- Niko Price

Thanks again to the devs for all of the work going into this! It doesn't go unnoticed.

  • Also, I'm noticing something weird when fighting as Israel Adesanya. When on the ground in top position and when performing a post-fight celebration, his physique/body dimensions look completely different. In each scenario, he looks way more muscular, almost like Paulo Costa. Way more muscular torso and shorter arms. Am I the only one that sees this?

Thank you for the support and stopping by the forums! We'll pass along your requests over to the team.
  • Blueberry please stop saying you will pass on to team because you said this at launch and still no mention of the teams response. will they change archeotypes or not? how long does it take to say they are working on it or their not.forcing offline players to play online will not work.We will stop playing and purchase no digital merch this hurts your bottom line. Please consult marketing professional they will tell you the same thing.
  • dude they need to fix the gameplay first its awful not fun at all!!!
  • blueberry gameplay needs to be fix first off its awful not fun to play at all!!!!
  • I think they should fix game play as well bro read my other post. They can fix both game play and CAF if they wanted too.I have asked EA to fix many things since launch and the only thing EA addressed is game play.Clearly they did not fully succeed but this does not mean i should not express issues with CAF.Good Luck bro

Megan Anderson and Khamzat Chima have been added!
  • Megan Anderson and Khamzat Chima have been added!

I see that, glad they're both included now.

With this patch now being implemented, I'm assuming the devs will soon start work on the next one. Any word on whether or not they'll address some of the other recently-discussed offline fixes? Or any of the specific issues outlined in my original post for this thread?

Thanks again to the devs for all of the work going into this! It doesn't go unnoticed.

It's been a while since I've looked through these forums, and it's been about the same amount of time since I last played UFC 4. Based on other threads I'm reading, it looks like some of these changes have been made since the original post, mostly with regard to new roster additions. At this stage, I guess I have a few questions:

    - Any update on the fighter attire issues referenced above? I'm guessing the upcoming move to Venum means that the current Reebok gear isn't getting any updates, and that it's likely going the way of the dodo bird in favor of the new Venum gear, but I'm not going to make any assumptions just yet.

    - Any chance the issues regarding CAF archetypes are addressed for offline players? I know there are likely still other priorities for the devs, but this is honestly the main issue pushing me away from the game.

Any updates on these items is always appreciated, @EA_Blueberry.
  • YES. any CAF update???
