Every time I press LT and RT on the Controller it brings up some weird suggestion wheel with things like, Suggest deep pass, suggest inside run, I'm feeling it, I'm not feeling it. It is preventing me from being able to get in position to defend or even celebrate. Does anybody know what is going on?????

Do you have custom controller settings? What platform do you play the game on?
  • I play on xbox one. I do not have custom controller settings. I have a regular xbox controller. This only happens when I play online or even the yard. Let me rephrase when I press LT and RT at the same time I see that wheel.

I the same thing is happening to me, it started yesterday for me. I play on ps4
  • I uninstalled the game because EA doesn't seem to care about their customers

Hey there, sorry for the delayed reaction. I went on a week vacation right after our initial conversation and just catching up here. Do you use an external hard drive or have anything else plugged into your Xbox? If you use an external, make sure the updates are also designated to go to the external drive as well. When files are located on both the internal and external there can be strange errors.

It's completely possible re-install of the game can fix these type of errors too. If you happen to reinstall the game again, keep me updated.
  • This is what it looks like check the link
  • It won't let me put a picture up this is trash it is still happening

Strange, I'll need to jump into the game and test this out for myself. Do you use an official Xbox controller and is there anything at all plugged into the USB slots on your console?
  • Yes I use an official Xbox controller and nothing is plugged into my USB. At this point unless you are going to shoot the image I sent to you to EA devs or something I'm not playing it anymore. The game is broken for me at least and I can't enjoy online head to head or the swanky new reject NFL street mode "the Yard". It has nothing to do with my controller or my Xbox, or a "USB being plugged in" this game is broke and I want my money back for this inconvenience. I've been playing games for over 20 years and have used none "official" controllers in the past and saw what they do to your system or games you play this is not the case this time. Every Xbox one controller I have bought has been official (it always came in the White and Green Box and said Microsoft on it). No matter what controller I use out of the three I own that wheel shows up. Thank you for trying to resolve my issue if you resolve it great if not hopefully the next Madden won't have this issue if I decide to buy it.

Does it get stuck on your screen or does it go away when you release?
  • If I don't press B it won't go away. Bro it seems like this is beyond you and it is only happening to me aside from the other guy that posted. It is ok if you don't know or can't figure this out I am desktop support technician sometimes you don't have the answer. I just won't play Madden and regret spending my money on the game.

    Hey, @jrdraper24

I tested it last night and couldn't reproduce it. If you haven't performed a power cycle lately, definitely do that to see if it works out this display issue. If that doesn't work, it's worth re-installing the game for fresh files. Re-installing the game will not delete your Yard, Cloud Franchise, or MUT progress.

It could also be a controller firmware situation too. Under your Xbox Settings there's an option to check your controller for updates, it doesn't always do that automatically so it's worth a shot.

I can see how it's annoying to deal with, but with the limited amount of reports on this I fear it will be hard to reproduce and more hesitant to believe it's a localized issue that can be cleared up through updating/reinstalling.

How to power cycle your Xbox console:
    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console’s power cable. Wait 10 seconds. Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

I figured out what it was. You have to go to accessibility in the settings on Madden and turn of quick chat
  • Thanks Ivdrape for putting that. Its really sad that you figured it out and not the EA worker. Kinda metaphorical how little EA cares about their game I guess.
  • SOOOO! Thank you so much @ivdrape it is sad that I'm having this issue in Madden 23. And hopefully this helps me there. I used to be a tech support for Visio TV, and that sucked massively. Right after EA being known for Madden and Sims, EA is secondly known for the most poor/atrocious customer service and tech support in major franchise game production.<------- Might get taken down to save face.
