Pump faking while throwing on the run

Why is my qb setting his feet to pump fake instead of pumping while in the running motion ever qb pumps while scrambling you guy need to play the game and watch it

it's ridiculous how far out if touch this game is with real football ,

Probably because nobody actually tests Madden(or at least not very well). And nobody uses the pump fake because it's basically useless. Remember when the " All-New and Improved Pump-Fake Mechanic" was a selling point for Madden 20. This game is AWFUL on every level.

@EA_Blueberry this is a good point up here. Also, why can't I use a stiff arm or juke with a QB behind the LOS, its kinda Josh Allens thing....

Pump faking while on the run would be a great improvement and I'll pass along the request. As for stiff arming behind the line of scrimmage...I remember being able to click on the stick to activate those controls (stiff arm, juke, spin) but it was removed. There were some great highlights doing that. One of my favorites was when I used Walter Payton in Madden 25 when he has the out of position QB item.

I believe it was balancing where in the end the majority of QBs in the NFL do not perform these type of ball carrier moves. When they do, they are not successful at all with them most of the time. This encourages more players to run with the QB than attempt to pass it as the position is traditionally for.

Honestly, I never use pump fake. To me, all pump fake does is forces the DL to disengage in his block causing me to be sacked... kind like how hitting the scramble button does the same thing.

@EA_Blueberry but Allen does do that... its like nerfing Lamar Jacksons speed to keep players from running with him.... just seems like EA picks and chooses who they want "to be good."

It actually does cause the safeties to hesitate for a split second when used at the right time. I recommend going in practice mode and run it over and over again. You'll notice that slight difference. The team tweaked the effectiveness of pump fakes this year compared to last year.
