Can you delete ps4 madden after upgrading to Ps5?

Can I delete the ps4 version off the Ps5 to free up space or is it needed to run the Ps5 version?

    Yes, you can delete the other version if you want to clear up space.

    I disagree, though I wish I didn't!

    "To play this game, insert the disc for the PS4 version of this game. After inserting the disc, you'll be returned to the home screen."
    ... and then the disc will be copied to the hard drive automatically.
